Sweety High is a social world for girls, a boutique arts and entertainment website driven by social media and original content for tween and teen girls. Our mission is to deliver a safe, empowering one-stop destination between youth-oriented sites and the mature terrain of MySpace and Facebook. We offer the most advanced and creative set of social web interfaces these girls have ever been given access to but in a safe, incentive-based environment. We’ve taken the best of what the web has to offer, all the things that tween and teen girls aspire to do on-line, and crafted an age-appropriate dream destination with the help of a dedicated group of Sweety High Foundation moms and their daughters.

Our goal is to promote safety, leadership, creativity and fair play while also fostering a girl’s engagement with the real world.

Veronica

Founder/CCO
Veronica, AKA “the teen whisperer”, has been a pioneer in creating visual media for teenagers in the entertainment industry for the past 20 years. She has developed and produced videos and commercials for clients and artists including: Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Nike, Coke, and Toyota. As a producer, Veronica has had extensive experience in originating and executing multi-million dollar budgets while managing dozens of creative teams. Most recently, she sold a Television show about youth culture to HBO. Veronica has written and directed the pilot episode for Sweety High’s first original content show, “Sweety”. Veronica has long believed “Socializing girls through Arts and Entertainment is the best way to keep them educated. You learn the most when you’re having fun, through laughter and interactive experience.”

 
Frank

Founder/President
Frank Simonetti has over 20 years experience as a writer and director in the motion picture industry, having created film and TV projects for Warner Brothers, Fox Studios, Maverick, and Appian Way among others. Prior to becoming a filmmaker, Frank spent four years in New York working in fine art and graphic design, completing campaigns for clients that include Calvin Klein, New Line Cinema, and DKNY. Frank recently spent three years directing a feature documentary about teenagers in the arts, “Climate”, that allowed him a very intimate view of the world that would later inspire Sweety High.

 
Naveen

Technology
Naveen has extensive experience as a technologist building websites for top entertainment and consumer brand clients. Sparkart, his most notable project to date, was a digital rights company that worked to create social networks with artists and entertainment properties while identifying online opportunities for them. His past clients include: Radiohead, Alicia Keys, Josh Groban, Carrie Underwood, The Ultimate Fighting Championship, and Metropark. Among the entertainment companies he’s worked with are: Sony, Interscope Records, Geffen Records, and Warner Brothers. In addition, Naveen has created a technology to enable clients to rapidly develop new social networks, and is now dealing with merging mobile and wireless technologies, seemlessly integrating them into the Internet experience.

 
David

Talent and Promotion
A former partner at United Talent Agency (UTA), David has been an elite talent agent for the past 25 years, brokering hundreds of multi-national film, television, and media deals while representing some of the highest profile entertainers in the world. As a manager with The Schiff Company, he has come onboard to represent Sweety High in generating funding, making strategic alliances, and acquiring A-list talent. His personal roster includes: Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, Pharrell, Ryan Phillipe, Jeff Bridges and many others.

 
Harvey

Media Development – Music
Harvey is a multi-Grammy nominated music producer and CEO of Harvey Mason Media. In his decorated career, he has produced such artists as: Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Aretha Franklin, and Pink. Harvey is well known as a “tastemaker” who has contributed to many singles and albums that have reached gold, platinum, and multi-platinum sales while generating numerous Top 10 singles. Through SH Music, he will be producing records and videos, creating music contests, and delivering myriad exclusive offerings from today's top talent.

 
Jonathan

ELC Technology
Founded in 1991, ELC Technologies has consistently powered some of the hottest Ruby on Rails sites, like Will Farrell’s Funny or Die, while applying their results-driven metric methodologies within business-critical applications. As CEO of ELC, Jonathan has helped build sites for global corporations including Cisco Systems, ESPN, and LiveNation. The company’s team has more than a hundred years of combined Rails experience and has released dozens of community-oriented open source projects. ELC Technologies has its headquarters in Santa Barbara, California, and international offices in London, England and Dublin, Ireland. Jonathan holds degrees in Physics and Computer Science from the UCSB.

 
Scott

Stubbs, Alderton, and Markiles, LLP
Scott is a corporate and technology lawyer with over 20 years experience focusing exclusively on advising technology, emerging growth, and development stage companies in the areas of corporate and securities, mergers and acquisitions, business, licensing, intellectual property, and the Internet. Scott received his B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1982 and his J.D., cum laude, in 1985 from Loyola Law School. He has served as an adjunct professor of securities law at Loyola Law School and is a member of the Business Law and Intellectual Property Sections of the American Bar Association. Scott is a member of the California Bar.

Account & Registration

Your child’s privacy is important to us. In order to keep your child's information private, Sweety High has implemented the following registration process:

under 13
STEP 1: Your child signs up on sweetyhigh.com, taking the first step toward registration.
STEP 2: You will complete the registration/verification process with your child. If you are unavailable, your child will submit your email to Sweety High.
STEP 3: If your child has submited your email address, a confirmation email is sent from Sweety High to the Parent. In this email, a parent will receive a link leading them back to Sweety High to verify the account.
STEP 4: Your child receives a confirmation email from Sweety High notifying them the account has been activiated.
STEP 5: An invitation email is sent from Sweety High to the parent. The parent may now follow instructions to create an account of their own that will enable them to view and modify their child’s page.

Gabi

was born and raised in Chicago, IL. After high school, she attended the University of Illinois, graduating with a major in Finance and a minor in Accounting. For the next nine years, Gabi worked in the Banking and Money Management industries as an Analyst and Marketing Manager. She and her husband, Carl, live in Manhattan Beach, CA with their two children, Jake and Shane. Gabi spends her days keeping her two very active kids on schedule, staying fit through yoga and other sports, and pursuing her passion for nutrition by volunteering in the community. Her latest mission has her back at school, teaching kids about food and showing them how to make healthy choices that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Gabi’s daughter, Shane, is a Foundation Girl.

 
Sara

was born in NYC and raised in upstate New York. Sara has always had a passion for academics and acting. After attending high school at the Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts, she graduated cum laude from Choate-Rosemary Hall having received the “All Connecticut and All New England” actress honors. Sara attended Dartmouth College where she majored in neuropsychology, and received Masters degrees from both UMASS Amherst and Columbia University in NYC. Sara and her husband, Greg, have been married for 17 years and have three daughters; Sophie, Emily and Olivia. Sara’s family enjoys hiking, biking, skiing and traveling as a family. They now live in Manhattan Beach, CA, where they juggle the busy lives of three active girls all involved in the acting profession. Daily runs with the family dog, Bowie, keep Sara on her toes! Sara’s daughters, Sophie & Olivia, are Foundation Girls.

 
Rhonda

is a very active and proud mother of three. Although Rhonda has a successful career as an Interior Decorator, her real passion is for her family and service to her community. Rhonda has been very active in her kids schools, serving as VP of the PTA, a Classroom Mom, and Chair of their school’s annual book fair. Among her many volunteer activities, Rhonda gives back to her community by teaching English to women from China. She counts this challenging, yet rewarding, process as one of the best she’s been involved with! Despite her busy schedule, Rhonda always strives to make time for others, whether it’s just listening to them, or actively providing support and comfort.

 
Kim

was born in Long Island, NY and raised in Southern California, where she graduated from UCLA. She works as a Dealer Sales Manager for OKI Data America in Southern California. Despite Kim’s busy career, she makes time for the things she loves; friends, cooking, staying active and, of course, spending time with her husband, Kip, and their three beautiful children (Trent, Riley, and Spencer). Though Kim serves as a booster for her daughter’s cheerleading squad, and supports her sons many travel teams, her primary focus is on her kids education, striving each day to make sure they are well rounded and ready to take on the world! Kim’s daughter Riley was the first member of the Sweety High Foundation Girls.

 
Jeannine

was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She studied graphic design at the University of Arizona on a volleyball and academic scholarship, having excelled in both academics and sports during high school. Upon graduation she worked in advertising as a creative director. She married former U of A basketball player and musician Harvey Mason Jr. They have two children, Trey and Mia, whom they are raising in Manhattan Beach, CA. She spends her days keeping up with two very active “tweens” and hanging out with her very cool husband. She also enjoys coaching her daughter’s many sports teams and playing “team mom” to her son’s basketball and baseball teams. Jeannie is very active in the arts community and donates her graphic design skill and time to local charities. Jeannie’s daughter Mia is one of Sweety High’s Foundation Girls.

  • Sweety High is a closed community. If you are not a member, you cannot access or view profiles, photos or any user content.
  • We verify each member under 13 through a parent or guardian’s credit card/last 4 digits of social security Number/signature page. These are the most effective ways to keep Sweety High private and ensure our user's age verification.
  • All non-user generated content, including videos and music, is hand-picked, pre-moderated and filtered.
  • All user generated content, including all text, is moderated in conjunction with , a state-of-the-art moderation system. These proprietary tools go to great length to help police against cyber-bullying and predatorial behavior.
  • Parents of girls under 13 are given an account to access their daughter’s profiles and the ability to "delete" any content they feel is inappropriate. They will also receive emails updating them on their child's recent activity. This complete transparency will give you the access you need while hopefully prompting meaningful discourse with your child.
  • Sweety High is a member of privo's privacy assurance program. Prvio is recognized by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), and is approved as a safe harbor under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
  • Sweety High has produced an extensive Safety PSA series to give girls a relatable and entertaining way to learn about cyber-safety.
  • Sweety High works with accomplished child psychologists and experienced online law enforcement officers to make sure we are touching all the bases in our continually evolving effort to provide a secure environment for our users.
  • Sweety High has created an incentive-based safety program, Savvy Sweeties , that rewards your child
    for participating in our safety program and demonstrating leadership skills.
  • Sweety High’s button gives girls a responsive outlet to let us know about anything that might be bothering them.
  • Sweety High has implemented the strictest Privacy Policy, and gone to great lengths to ensure that we are COPPA compliant.

Foundation Girls

Foundation Girls are a core group of young ambassadors to Sweety High that exemplify everything we stand for. Foundation Girls act as role models by representing the site with pride, teaching other girls about internet safety, and going out in the community to do good deads. These creative, empowered, savvy sweeties are leaders in our online world AND also in their own community! Many of these advisors helped us build Sweety High and continue to help us keep it safe, fresh and fun!

To become a Foundation Girl

To become a Foundation member you need to acquire a Foundation Badge. The Foundation Badge is the most elite status you can earn on Sweety High and lets everyone know you are not only a contributor BUT a leader! Being a great Sweety has its rewards, and the Foundation Badge shows that you are in very exclusive company!
