These Matte Lipsticks Smell Just Like Cake

For all you makeup mavens who have a serious sweet tooth, we've found the perfect brand for you.

Caked Makeup creates the most gorgeous shades of lipstick you need to add to your collection stat.

These aren't your average lipsticks though. Appropriately called Lip Fondants, these bad boys smell just like a sugary cake—yum!

What's even better about this brand is that all of their products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free.

Naturally I had to get my hands on some of Caked's shades to see if they're really worth the hype.

I ordered six of their 12 colors, including two of their newest additions.

Once they finally arrived, I was more than excited to put them all on.

Of course, before you try on any new lipstick, you always have to give it a proper swatch test.

These matte lipsticks glided on easily and dried quicker than any other matte I've used to date. Impressive!

And, yes, they had a delicious cake batter-like aroma that had me craving something sweet every time I put on a new shade.

I tasted them to see if they were as heavenly as they smelled, but they didn't really taste like anything.

After my little taste-test was complete (yes, I tried all of them to see if at least one tasted like cake!), I got to work putting them on my lips.

Real One

I'm not usually a fan of nudes, but I really liked this warm hue. It had my lips looking plump without having to do anything.

Creme de la Creme

This cool-toned nude was a little bit more noticeable, but I did enjoy that it was still somewhat subtle when I put it on.

Holla Back

This cool-toned pink made me feel bright and happy the second I put it on. I'll definitely be sporting it a lot this summer.

Low Key

A dusty terracotta, this lipstick looks more red or pink depending on your natural lip color. It looked redder on my lips, so I was stoked about that. Love me a good red!

Power Trip

Putting on this deep crimson shade had me feeling like I could take over the world. It was definitely my favorite of the bunch.

Jelly

This vibrant purple hue is super fun and totally made everyone in the office jelly that they weren't rocking the color.

I would highly recommend this brand to anyone, whether you're obsessed with makeup or only have a few products.

They seriously smell so freaking good, and as a vegan myself, I will always support a brand that's both vegan and cruelty-free. We need more brands like them in the world.
