Beauty Dupes: All the Products You’ve Been Keeping Your Eye on for Less!

Not too long ago we started noticing beauty blogs light up with tales of magical "dupes."

For the uninitiated, a dupe is a lower priced version of a very popular hair or makeup item. Beauty aficionados scour the internet and find replicas of the most popular colors and formulas for a fraction of the price. It's a perfect way for us to finally get our hands on the colors we've desperately wanted, but haven't wanted to buy at their originally listed prices. Read on for the best dupes we've found!

Kylie Cosmetics' True Brown K vs. Colourpop's Limbo

Colourpop Limbo

(via Colourpop)

If we had a dollar for every time we tried (and failed) to get Kylie's Lip Kit, we would've already bought every single color—including her birthday edition. Thank goodness for beauty bloggers who cracked the case for this one and found out that Kylie's True Brown K is the exact shade as Colourpop's Limbo. The rumors were so intense at one point that people online were guessing Kylie produced her products at Colourpop facilities. We don't have the answer for this beauty mystery, but we will take the $10+ savings (and availability) every time!

Nars Dual-Intensity Blush in Panic vs. e.l.f.'s Aqua Beauty Blush

e.l.f. blush and bronzer duo

(via e.l.f.)

Nars is one of the most chic and dependable lines on the market, and we've got one of the best swaps out there. Nars originally came out with a wet/dry blush and bronzer duo that held purely pigmented color. Meaning, you could make the shade as intense or as soft as you wished. You could apply it dry for a subtle effect and wet for a more dramatic look. Enter e.l.f. cosmetics with their Aqua blush and bronzer for only $6. The lower priced compact offers the same color versatility and pigment intensity. The Nars version clocks in at $45 and offers a very similar color duo. Need we say more?

Moroccanoil vs. OGX Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Penetrating Oil

Hair oil by OGX

(via OGX)

Moroccanoil is a miracle product that basically does everything for your hair: moisturizes, cuts blow dry time, detangles—you name it! We've been fans ever since it came out years ago. Nevertheless, its $48 price tag makes us think twice before we reach for the bottle. That was before we were introduced to OGX's Reneweing Argan Oil of Morocco Penetrating Oil. This product has all of the same benefits without the hefty price tag. The smell is incredible, too!
