Never give out personal information online. Personal information is anything that could be used to identify you or your whereabouts. This includes your phone number, your address or any other information that would allow someone to identify you or find you. Never send personal information to someone you don't know. Immediately report anyone who asks you to do this. We want you to have fun and connect with friends, but remember, no social site is completely safe. The best way to stay out of harm's way is to be smart about what kind of information you post online. And remember, this goes for sharing your friends and family's information as well.

Never meet anyone face-to-face whom you only know online. If a stranger online asks you to meet them in real life, report it immediately. A stranger online can be just as dangerous as a stranger in the real world. A person online may not always be who they claim to be.

Think before you upload a picture. Remember, anything you post online is permanent. Pictures you upload can affect your reputation for the rest of your life. Take a second to imagine all the wonderful things you want for your future: A college scholarship, a great job, proud parents? Now think about the photo you're planning to upload. Is this a picture you would want your parents or a teacher to see? Don't upload or post anything you wouldn't want the world to see! Never send a photo to someone you don't know. If someone asks you to do this, report it immediately. Lastly, NEVER upload a nude or revealing photo. If someone asks you to do this, or you see pictures like this online, report it right away.

A predator is anyone who may want to do you harm online. No Internet site is 100% safe from predators, but Sweety High is giving you and your parents this information so we can all work together is keeping our community safe. Never give personal information out to anyone online. Keep your password secret. Never agree to meet or exchange photos with anyone online you don't know personally. And, finally, immediately report to your parents or Sweety High if ANYONE asks you to give them personal information or to do anything you feel is wrong or threatening.

Cyber-bullying is when a young person (like you) is intimidated, harassed, humiliated or otherwise victimized by another young person on the Internet. This is an extremely serious problem. Don't be a cyber-bully and don't be bullied by anyone! If someone else is doing this to you, tell your parents or a trusted adult and contact the authorities. We have provided you with a feedback link to report any cyber-bullying happening on our site. Please contact us immediately if this is happening to you! When you make a report, your identity is kept secret. And please, only use this link when it is called for.

Below are some forms of cyber-bullying. As you read, ask yourself if you might do some of these things too...

Cyber-snarking is making disrespectful comments about another person, their body, relationships or behavior that are hurtful and can cause a lot of suffering.

Flaming is the posting of hurtful and nasty remarks on someone else's profile page.

Denigration is when someone creates a profile or blog designed to hurt or make fun another person.

Impersonation is when someone else logs onto your account and sends out messages, changes your profile, post pictures, and pretending to be you.

Cyber-stalking and Harassment is when someone sends out, over and over again, hurtful, rude or insulting remarks to you.
