**This document is not a replacement for our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service which should be reviewed in detail. **
A Note to Parents: Things to keep in mind regarding your kids' privacy.
We recognize the need to provide additional privacy protections when children visit the SweetyHigh.com website (the "Sweety High Site"). Furthermore, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") requires that we inform parents and legal guardians about how we collect, use, and disclose personal information from children under 13 years of age. Below, we explain how we do that for these special guests, hereinafter referred to as "kids." Furthermore, when we use the term "parent" below, we mean to include legal guardians.
While the Sweety High Site and our privacy practices are fully designed to comply with COPPA, we cannot guaranty the safety of your kids online and we cannot guaranty that your kids will not disclose their personal information or personal information about their friends and family when they participate on the Sweety High Site or when they use the Internet. While we may remove certain personal information disclosed in certain monitored activities, we cannot prevent your kids from disclosing personal information. It is therefore extremely important that you familiarize yourself with the Sweety High Site features, uses, and potential risks of use.
The Internet can be a wondrous and educational place for your kids, but it also poses risks. Please speak to your children about safe Internet behavior and not giving out personally identifiable information without your permission, and make sure that they understand and are familiar with our Rules of Conduct as disclosed in our Terms of Service.
The Company makes no representations, warranties or guarantees that uses of the Sweety High Site will be completely safe or insulated from inappropriate behavior or content, and we do not represent, warrant or guarantee that other users will not attempt to circumvent the rules, features or aspects of the Sweety High Site. The Company does not assume any obligation, liability or responsibility associated with such behavior.
What types of personal information do we collect about kids?
Kids can surf the Sweety High Site and view content without any personal information being collected. We do not collect personal information from kids unless they enter a contest on the Sweety High Site. When a kid enters a contest we may collect the kid's e-mail address in order to be able to notify them about whether they are a winner or not.
We may contact contest winners via e-mail to obtain their parents' e-mail addresses, and subsequently contact the winners' parents via e-mail to obtain the mailing address for the winners for prize fulfillment purposes. Once winners are selected and notified, the e-mail addresses submitted by all entrants are deleted.
Information Collected Through Technology
We collect information through technology to make the Sweety High Site more interesting and useful to you and for various purposes related to our business. For instance, when you come to the Sweety High Site, we collect your IP address. An IP address is associated with the access point through which you enter the Internet, and is typically controlled by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your company, or your university. Alone, your IP address is not personally identifiable. We may use IP addresses to collect information regarding the frequency with which our guests visit various parts of the Sweety High Site, and we may combine IP addresses with personally identifiable information.
The Sweety High Site also collects other information through a variety of technical methods, including cookies and Web beacons. Cookies are pieces of information that a website sends to your computer while you are viewing the website. Web beacons are small pieces of data embedded in images on the pages of websites you visit. These technical methods may involve the transmission of information either directly to us or to another party authorized by us to collect information on our behalf.
We may use the information collected through these technical methods for many purposes, including delivering content, tracking and enhancing our guests' experience on the Sweety High Site. We also may use technical methods to analyze the traffic patterns on the Sweety High Site, such as the frequency with which our guests visit various parts of the Sweety High Site, and link to third party websites. These technical methods may enable us to collect and use information in a way that is personally identifiable.
Many advertisements are managed and placed on the Sweety High Site by third parties. These companies are called "network advertisers." Network advertisers who place advertisements on the Sweety High Site may use cookies and Web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable information about your visits to the Sweety High Site and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
Finally, please keep in mind that when clicking on an advertisement on the Sweety High Site and linking to a third party's website, our Privacy Policy will not apply to your personally identifiable information collected on that third party's website and you must read the privacy policy posted on that website to see how your personally identifiable information will be handled.
How do we use and share the personally identifiable information?
