Get To Know the MTV “Artist To Watch” Summer Class
MTV have announced some new additions to the 2015 "Artist To Watch" summer class! If you're not already obsessed with these 5 new artists, here's why you should be.
Jacob Whitesides
Jacob is a self-made artist. He posted his first YouTube cover, The Script's "Breakeven," more than 3 years ago when he was just 14. His talent was obvious from the very beginning.
Jacob also happens to be the CEO of his own record label, Double U Records. Gotta love an entrepreneur!
10 million YouTube views later, he's kind of a big deal. This original song "Words" will make you melt!
Fetty Wap
"Trap Queen" is kind of the song of the summer. Even Ed Sheeran covered it!
MAX
Max Schneider, AKA MAX, got his TV start on Nickelodeon's Rags and we've been in love ever since.
He's adorable, mega talented and a long-time friend of Sweety High. We adore those ukulele skills.
And his frequent collabs with Kurt Schneider (no relation) are to die for.
Benjamin Booker
We don't even know how to describe Benjamin Booker's sound, but just listen and try to resist his sound's magic.
Years & Years
Their hit "King" is the ultimate dance song.
Lead singer Olly Alexander was also on Skins, so we were drawn to the band immediately.
They were BBC Sound of 2015 winners. Enough said.
If you love these artists, also be sure to check out MTV's "Artist To Watch" Summer Showcase on June 22 at the Highline Ballroom in New York City featuring performances by Jacob Whitesides, MAX and Raury. Tickets here!
