A Definitive Ranking of Every Miss Vickie’s Chip Flavor

It's a no-brainer for us. Kettle chips are the  superior form of salty snacking. That crunch in every bite is unbelievably satisfying.

Miss Vickie's might have the most fascinating options among all the kettle chip brands. The texture is fantastic. They've got the perfect level of crunch without feeling like they'll crack your teeth. They've also got every flavor from classic sea salt to honey mustard and spicy dill pickle. But which of their offerings reign superior?

Below, discover our definitive ranking of every Miss Vickie's flavor we could find.

8. Sea Salt

Ranking last is the traditional sea salt kettle chip. When we crave chips, it often goes hand-in-hand with a specific flavor—not just salt. Besides, when Miss Vickie's has so many unique options, why would you want something as simple as sea salt? But if you're not into much flavor, this one might be the one.

7. Sour Cream Herb & Onion

We like Sour Cream & Onion on traditional chips. However, they don't land the same on a kettle-baked chip. We're not sure why. It's probably as simple as a disconnect in our brand. It still ranks higher than sea salt because it's slightly more interesting.

6. Smokehouse BBQ

In general, we don't love barbecue chips, but there is something pleasant about Miss Vickie's Smokehouse BBQ. As the name suggests, it's got a smoky profile, unlike most other chips we've tried that have more of a twang. That's what saved it.

5. Applewood Smoked BBQ

Now, imagine Smokehouse BBQ, but add a sweet kick to it. It becomes even better. If we had to describe this chip, we'd explain it as the mature, sophisticated version of your usual dollar-store barbecue chip. But as we mentioned, we're not overly enthusiastic about the barbecue flavor, so it ranks right in the middle.

4. Honey Mustard

We've never had a Honey Mustard chip before this one, but we've clearly missed out. This flavor gives the perfect balance of sweet and salty. It pairs well with the texture of the kettle chip because it seems less salty than your standard chip.

3. Sea Salt & Vinegar

We expected traditional Salt & Vinegar chips would be our favorite, but they're equally yummy on kettle chips. Miss Vickie's Sea Salt & Vinegar still has that addicting twang, but it doesn't make your face draw up like it does as usual. It feels much lighter, which is dangerous—we finished the entire bag before we knew it.

2. Jalapeño

Here at Sweety High, we love anything spicy. So, unsurprisingly, Miss Vickie's Jalapeño made it near the top of our list. This flavor offers just enough sizzle to make your lips tingle. Even then, there's more to it than just spice. You can also taste the salty and savory notes of the pepper.

1. Spicy Dill Pickle

And the only thing we love more than spicy food is pickles. Miss Vickie's combines the two into the flavor of our dreams: Spicy Dill Pickle. It's sweet, salty and spicy (without being too hot) in one—and very versatile. It's the kind of chips you can enjoy alone or round out a hearty sandwich lunch.

If you're new to the Miss Vickie's brand, we wholeheartedly suggest purchasing this flavor. You will not be disappointed.
