A Definitive Ranking of Fruit Snack Flavors
We haven't met one person who can eat an entire bag of fruit snacks without leaving one color of gummy behind. There is always at least one flavor that is far inferior to the rest of them.

8. Orange
Unless its an orange soda, we cannot stand artificial orange flavor. Its tartness level falls flat and usually tastes somewhat medicinal. Unsurprisingly, we haven't had an orange gummy we've enjoyed. To all fruit snack manufacturers, please make an orange gummy that is actually sweet.

7. Lemon
Similar to orange, lemon is one of those flavors we almost exclusively enjoy in its natural form. We can't give lemon negative points because its gummy form tastes pretty accurate, but there is something about the texture that doesn't flow well with lemon's sourness.
6. Apple
If you can't tell, we don't appreciate the more tart fruits as a fruit snack flavor. That said, we have had an apple fruit snack that we like. However, the majority of brands that offer green apple aren't our favorites—but when it's good, it's delicious.
5. Pineapple
We're surprised that pineapple is a more popular flavor of fruit snack. It tastes accurate, but it's usually in an assortment of fruits we don't want to mix with pineapple. As a result, we end up avoiding the pineapple gummy to not add too many varying flavors to our palates.

4. Strawberry
Once upon a time, strawberry used to be our favorite fruit snack flavor. We're not sure what happened, but strawberry gummies have seemingly gotten more sweet over the past few years. We miss the slightly tart versions that felt more true to the real thing. Even so, we will never be upset if we have a strawberry fruit snack offered to us!

3. Grape
Grape is one of the only flavors we've started to enjoy more as we get older. Like orange, it used to have that medicinal flavor. Thankfully, brands have leaned into a satisfying balance of sweet and sour that always hits the right spot.
2. (Blue) Raspberry
Raspberry, especially blue, has been a flavor we've appreciated since childhood. Since a blue raspberry doesn't technically exist, its flavor can shine without any comparison to its real fruit counterpart. It's sour without being tart, which is something we can always get down with.

1. Cherry
We are creatures of habit because our No. 1 flavor, cherry, has been our most beloved since the dawn of time. Cherry is actually the only artificial flavor that we believe is tastier than the real fruit. Where actual cherries are super bitter, cherry-flavored fruit snacks and gummies are sugary without being sickeningly sweet and just the right edge of sour.
