A Definitive Ranking of the Most Popular Movie Theater Concessions
Between Snow White, Paddington and Captain America, we have spent our fair share of time in the movie theater the past month. But it's not always the film we're running to see. Sometimes, we like to find any hot release to have another excuse to eat theater concession snacks.

7. Pizza
While we usually enjoy movie theater pizza, it isn't the most practical food to eat during a screening. If your local theater is anything like ours, the pizza is super greasy and messy. It would be delicious to enjoy at home, where we could also fight the heartburn, but it ends up being just impractical for watching a film.

6. Slushy
Slushies are delicious. However, we are the type of people who avoid drinking anything during a movie because we don't want to get up to use the bathroom. Knowing our luck, we'd probably miss the most pivotal part of the story. Plus, its extra sweetness gives us an unwarranted sugar crash.

5. Hot Dog
Once upon a time, a hot dog used to be the prime choice at the movie theater. They used to be sizable and packed with flavor. We're not sure what happened over the past few years, but hot dogs at our theater have become considerably smaller. We can eat the hot dog in less than five minutes, leaving us with nothing to enjoy for the rest of the movie.
4. Pretzel
Pretzels are a hit or miss. When a pretzel is good, it's spectacular. It's the perfect option because you can easily stretch it through the movie. However, there have been many times when it wasn't good. The bread might be stale, and overcooking for even a couple of seconds will ruin its flavor. Sadly, it's just too much of a gamble.

3. Candy
Candy is a classic, trusted option for a movie viewing. Companies have created the most optimal serving size to take you through your theater. More than likely, you won't even finish the boxed sweet treat. Honestly, the only reason we don't rank it higher is because it's rare we eat it on its own. We typically need something salty or savory as a balance.
2. Popcorn
Can you really go to the movies without getting popcorn? Because of their huge sizes, you are guaranteed to have a snack throughout your movie. Some theaters even offer refills to stretch it out. It's one of the few items we take home with us to continue eating later on because it's just that yummy.

1. Nachos
Without fail, we order nachos every time we go to the movies. Although it's smaller than popcorn, we have never ran out by the end of our movie. We are total spicy food lovers, and it's one of the only items we can get with heat, thanks to its side of jalapeños. And who can resist that warm nacho cheese?
