A Definitive Ranking of the Most Popular Pickle Brands
Nov. 14 is a very special holiday: National Pickle Day!
No matter where we are, we crave a pickle. If you receive an extra pickle with your meal, we'll eye it until you offer us one. That said, we've tried a lot of different pickles in our day. Continue reading to discover our definitive ranking of pickle brands.
6. Grillo's
We know many people swear by Grillo's pickles. Their product has over 450 reviews and nearly five stars, and they have plenty of flavors to select. However, we couldn't get into them. The pickle was bland, and it tasted more like a cucumber. When we eat a pickle, we want the cucumber to be so fermented we can't remember its original state.
5. OH SNAP!
Much like Grillo's, OH SNAP! has even more promising reviews. Better yet, these are pickle chips, which makes them even more efficient to snack on. Sadly, their standard dill pickle didn't pack enough punch in each bite. That said, we'd still be willing to try these again. Their Hottie Bites look delicious.

4. Claussen
Honestly, Claussen is a brand that we don't gravitate towards. Still, if someone has these at their house, we won't be mad. They're a standard pickle with a nice crunch, but something about them doesn't pull us in, and we can't put our finger on it.
3. Mt. Olive
Mt. Olive is one of those brands we aren't strongly opinionated about. Their pickle chips are great for sandwiches—and don't even get us started on their Sweet Heat ones—but we forget they exist when it comes to pickle spears. Maybe we'll have to venture out one day and try those instead of our usual.
2. Vlasic
If we imagine ourselves in true paradise—a grocery store aisle dedicated to pickles—we're immediately selecting a Vlasic jar. Sorry, this may be controversial, but their dill pickles are the most tangy of every brand. They're also an electric green, so you know they've been marinating for a long time.
1. Van Holten's
There's nothing like going to a gas station and spotting a Van Holten's pickle-in-a-pouch. The dill one is so sour that your lips will be puckering, and the hot one will have you sweating. It has the most flavor of any pickle, which is why we had to rank it as our No. 1.
