Everything You Wanted to Know About Singer-Songwriter and American Idol Winner Abi Carter
Californian singer-songwriter Abi Carter had quite the journey on American Idol's 22nd season, captivating the judges from the very start and deservedly being crowned the winner in May's big finale.
It's as if the 21-year-old artist had been training for the moment her whole life. She grew up in an extremely musical household alongside six siblings, singing everywhere she could, from church and talent shows to local competitions, and honing her talents even further when she learned to play the piano. She's a powerful performer with a raw authenticity to her vocals, pairing perfectly with soul-baring lyricism on her original tracks "This Isn't Over" and "It's All Love."
