Addison Riecke Dishes On The Thundermans Season 2!
10-year-old Addison Riecke stars as the youngest sister of a superhero family, Nora Thunderman, on Nickelodeon's The Thundermans. 
With the second season of The Thundermans debuting on Nick in just a few weeks, on September 13, Addison stopped to speak with us all about the new episodes and much more!
When we spoke to Addison Riecke, filming was still in progress.
"Right now we're almost done filming the second season," she said. "We have MKTO in one of our episodes, and a lot of cool animals and guests stars."
She added that two Thundermans specials, as well as a bunch of amazing holiday episodes have also been filmed.
"That's going to be a lot of fun to see on TV because it was a lot of fun to film," she said.
Often, these shoots include The Thundermans being filmed in front of a live studio audience!
"It's so great to see all of the kids that come because they just love the show," she said. "I had a few fans make bows for me once. It's so nice being back for another season and getting to make more episodes for the kids that love it."
For Addison, the filming process is even more fun with an audience present.
"It's lots more fun doing shows in front of a live audience because there are so many kids there," she said. "We come up in the stands sometimes and they play games."
After many of these live audience shows, the cast also takes part in meet and greets with the fans.
"It's so nice seeing them," she said. "I definitely think it's more exciting with the live taping."
In the second season of The Thundermans, fans can expect to see more kooky adventures and big challengers for the characters. We'll also get to view a different side of the characters we know and love.
"In season 2, Nora has shown more of a sensitive side of herself to everyone," she said. "I'm so glad to see her be more of a sensitive person this season."
And as the Thundermans characters have developed, Addison has seen the actors growing with them.
"I think all of the cast has kind of grown with their characters and been able to connect more with them," she said. "Nora has definitely changed since the premiere of season 1."
While she plays a superhero with laser vision on TV, she's also a bit of a hero in real life, often taking time out of her busy schedule to support causes that are important to her.
She recently dumped a bucket of freezing ice and water over her head for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge!
"I think that it's important to give back and the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge seemed like so much fun" Addison said. "It felt so nice that I was helping raise awareness, and it was so much fun at the same time. I'm so glad that all over the news and all over the internet the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge videos are everywhere."
Addison also gets involved with a number of charities. Locally, Addison loves to support the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. She even does what she can to recruit her friends to chip in!
"For my birthday this past January, I had friends at my birthday party help me make gifts to bring to the kids for Valentine's Day," she said. "On Easter I also visited children in the Infusion Unit and brought them gifts."
Addison is originally from Louisiana and she also loves to lend a hand there. She loves supporting the Covington Food Bank.
"Another organization that I love being involved with in my hometown is a nonprofit organization called Holidays for Kids," she said. "It was started by my mom and her friends around 12 years ago."
Holidays For Kids gives children holiday gifts throughout the year, from Easter to Halloween to Christmas and more.
"I'm so excited when I see all those kids get so excited to see me and get presents," she said. "It makes me feel really happy."
The second season of The Thundermans premieres September 13 on Nickelodeon at 9/8c. Addison urged fans to tune in!
"I can't say enough about how awesome season 2 is going to be," Addison said. "Everyone's going to be really excited to see it."
