Alani Nu Has Drastically Improved My Fitness Performance
On a good week, I make it to the gym about five times, but I need some help along the way.
Instead of loading up on an energy drink or large coffee, I've been using pre-workout to get my energy levels up. So when the brand Alani Nu, which is known for its pre-workouts, reached out to me, I was more than willing to try out its products! Continue below to learn all about the pre-workouts, collagen powder and protein bars from Alani Nu.
The Brand

The Products
Pre-Workout in Rainbow Candy: $39.99
The very first product I tried from Alani Nu was the pre-workout in the rainbow candy flavor. When it comes to pre-workouts, I typically go for fruity flavors, but I'd heard so many good things about this particular one that I just had to give it a try. It has a slight Skittles flavor with a bit of a fizz, and I truly fell in love with the taste at first sip! The brand suggests starting out with half of a scoop and working your way up to a full scoop over time, but since I'm a seasoned pre-workout taker, I went straight for the full scoop. A full scoop has 200 mg of caffeine as well as amino acids, and I was pleased with the effect it had on my body.
As to be expected with pre-workouts, my lips started to feel a little bit tingly, but other than that, I didn't experience any other weird side effects. I placed half of a scoop into a drink shaker, added cold water, shook it and chugged it! I did all of this about 25 minutes before my workout started, and I found that by the time I arrived at the gym, I was feeling pumped and ready to tackle my workout.

Pre-Workout in Galaxy Lemonade: $39.99
I thought rainbow candy was going to be my favorite flavor of the pre-workouts, but after I tasted the galaxy lemonade flavor I knew I had found my new go-to. I've already gone through the entire container of this flavor, thanks in part to my boyfriend stealing it from time to time! And yes—the brand is definitely geared toward women, but men are more than welcome to use the products, too.
The taste is like a typical lemonade but a tad bit less tart. I was also expecting the color to be pink, but it's actually blue when you mix it in with water. Again, this pre-workout has 200 mg of caffeine, and I found it had the exact same effects as the rainbow candy flavor.

Collagen Peptides in Breezeberry: $29.99
I make protein smoothies a few times a week and always include a scoop of collagen. Before I tried this one from Alani Nu, I had always used Vital Proteins, and after running out of my latest batch, I decided to give this one a try. I was expecting to receive the unflavored peptides but was instead met with the flavor breezeberry. At first, I wasn't sure how it was going to play with the other flavors in my smoothies, but I actually ended up liking it a lot.
My smoothies consist of almond milk, ice, frozen strawberries, honey and vanilla protein powder, ao, adding in another type of berry flavor really wasn't that big of a deal. In fact, the taste was so subtle and I'm not even sure I can notice it anymore. As for the collagen peptides and the nutrition facts, they're loaded with hyaluronic acid, grass-fed collagen, vitamin C and more. Repeated use will leave your skin looking and feeling more hydrated than ever. I haven't noticed a huge difference since I'd already been taking collagen previously, but I also didn't notice a decline—so that's a good thing!

Munchies Protein Bars: $29.99
The moment I unwrapped the box of protein bars in the munchies flavor, I already knew I was going to love it. When you combine the salty goodness of pretzels with the sweet taste of cookie dough, what can go wrong? This little bar contains a whopping 16 grams of protein and has proven to be the best post-workout snack. I've even found myself nibbling on it throughout the day if I'm in need of some food.
What I wasn't expecting, however, is just how filling these are. I can pretty much always scarf down an entire protein bar, but something about these makes it hard to do that. They're a bit dense and dry, but not in a bad way, so I usually save half for later in the day or even the next day. One munchies bar has 170 calories and 17 carbs, which I think is just right.

Cookies and Cream Protein Bars: $29.99
The last product I tried in my taste test from Alani Nu was the cookies and cream protein bar. I'm a sucker for cookies and cream ice cream and had very high hopes for this bar, in particular, and while I can't say I liked it more than the munchies flavor, I still gobbled down each and every bar that was sent my way. Packing in 16 grams of protein and 16 grams of carbs into this 180-calorie bar, this is a great alternative to ice cream at night if you're trying to be a bit more healthy!

Bottom Line
I'm so happy with how my experience went with trying out Alani Nu. I truly didn't know what to expect, but I can truthfully say I'm a big fan of the brand and would definitely buy their products! The pre-workout was by far my favorite product, and if you're a fitness junkie, you should give it a try.
