ALS Ice Bucket Challenge With Our Fav Celebs!
Over the last three weeks, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has brought a lot of awareness to the disease, and many of our favorite celebrities are getting involved!
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a disease that effects people's nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain. Over time, this results in a loss of muscle movement.
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge started with 29-year-old Pete Frates, a former college basketball player, who has ALS.
When nominated, people have 24 hours to make a video of themselves pouring ice water over their head and share in on their social sites, or donate $100 to ALS research. Many have decided to do both!
They can then nominate their friends to also take part!
The challenge has resulted in millions of dollars of donations and heightened awareness across the world, plus we get to see a bunch of amazing celebrity Ice Bucket Challenge videos!
So far, the feat has been repeated more a million times! So far, many amazing artists and actors including The Vamps, Fifth Harmony, Austin Mahone, R5 and Taylor Swift have taken part!
