Ashley Anne Weaves an Irresistible Story of Falling in Love With Her call me when you land EP
Since her single debut with the fan-favorite track "dear dolly" last year, rising country artist Ashley Anne has come a long way.
She kicked off 2024 with her debut EP of the same name, winning over even more fans with the anthemic "she ain't texas," and she's capping off the year with its gorgeous follow-up, call me when you land. This sophomore EP showcases Ashley's growth as a performer and a storyteller, with an enchanting love story at its heart.
While dear dolly served as an exploration of Ashley Anne's story as a young artist, call me when you land tells a love story. Its six songs take listeners along for a journey through the stages of a flowering relationship.
It begins with the giddy uncertainty of a new romance with "left my tshirt" before getting lost in infatuation with "makeup off" and "don't ruin this record." There's hope mingled with fear and doubt throughout the titular "call me when you land," leading into a smitten tale of chivalry with "i can be a woman" before she fully embraces that she's created something lasting with the one she loves with closing track, "drive you anywhere."

From start to finish, it's stirring and relatable, with the stories coming to life through Ashley's rich vocals against twangy country instrumentation, immersing listeners fully into her tale. It's also deeply personal, with Ashley co-writing each track on the EP—excluding "i can be a woman," which she penned entirely on her own.
"The call me when you land EP is a journey that takes you through the stages of a developing relationship song by song and step by step," Ashley explained in a press release. "The project begins with songs about uncertainty, nervousness, fear and self doubt, and closes with songs about falling in love and finding your person."
