4 Easy Steps to a Flawless At-Home Facial
As much as I'd love to spend QT with a top esthetician on the reg, it's totally unrealistic.
Between the time it takes to get a facial and the amount of money it costs for one simple service, giving my face the VIP treatment from a professional is a rare occurrence—if it happens at all.
But fear not—as someone obsessed with skin, I've tested a slew of products over time to really nail what makes the perfect at-home facial. Of course, every skin type is different and results will vary, but I've rounded up a step-by-step guide to some non-invasive products that you can use when you want to pamper yourself at home or need that fresh-from-the-facialist look on the fly.

Step 1: Dermaflash: $189
Anyone who knows me is very aware that the Dermaflash dermaplane tool is the saving grace for my face. Ever since I reviewed it back in August, I've been totally obsessed. Not only does it remove the peach fuzz from my face, but it also gets rid of dead skin—two immediate ways to help anyone's skin look insanely smoother. It's a little costly, but have no fear because I have a special discount code for Sweety High readers. Use Dahvi20 at checkout and receive 20% off your order! This is, by far, my favorite product of 2017, and maybe ever.
Step 2: Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips: $6.49
Who doesn't love a Biore Strip? The idea of sticking something somewhere on your face and peeling it off to get rid gunk is super fun, right? I was sent a six-pack of Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips and gave them a whirl. Not only was the application process easy and entertaining, but when it was finally time to rip off the strip, my nose was noticeably smoother and clearer.
Step 3: Foreo Luna Go: $99 + Starskin Detoxing Sea Kelp Leaf Cleansing Foam: $30
Now that you've smoothed your face, it's time to get scrubbin'! The Foreo Luna Go's portable cleansing contraption goes deep into the hard-to-reach crevices of your skin. Paired with a dime-sized application of Starskin's Detoxing Sea Kelp Leaf Cleansing Foam, your face will be cleansed (and fresh-smelling) in no time. I used to swear by a different cleansing tool, which worked fine, but after being sent a Luna Go for review, I found that it was far less clunky, it gets deeper into my skin and takes less time to use effectively on the first go.
Step 4: Starskin Detoxing Sea Kelp Leaf Face Mask: $15
To top things off, I apply Starskin's Sea Kelp Leaf Face Mask. It's important to use this (or any other hydrating mask) after undergoing the above procedures. Scraping away at dead skin and doing a deep cleansing will dry out your face, so it's vital to get that moisture back. Considered a "green juice for your skin," the mask purifies your pores, hydrates your skin for 72 hours and adds a glow. I received this mask for review, along with the above cleansing foam, and when applied one after the other, the results are pure illuminating magic.
Below is my final result (wearing minimal makeup):
Although I'm not wearing much makeup in the photo above, I certainly have my moments. If you love makeup as much as we do, you've probably experienced THESE 14 struggles!
