Meet Auggie From Disney Channel’s “Girl Meets World”!
7-year-old Auggie Maturo plays Riley Matthews' little brother, Auggie, in Disney Channel's Girl Meets World. Season 2 of the show started airing just last month, and we recently caught up with the young star to find out all about the show and even more about the young star.
Who's your favorite animated Disney character?
Mickey Mouse, of course.
What's your dream meal?
Pancakes and eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner, every single day.
What TV show is your all-time favorite?
How It's Made, because I just love to see how things are made.
What inspires you?
My parents, because they let me follow my dreams.
If you could be in any movie, what would it be?
Pinocchio
What always makes you smile, no matter what?
Ocean, my little brother
What's the last song you had stuck in your head?
A made up song
What's your biggest inspiration as an actor?
Mckenna Grace
What has it been like to kind of grow up on the Girl Meets World set?
We've become like a real family. It's just been great. It's amazing how we get along. We're very close, like a really close family.
How has season 2 been different from season 1 so far? Can we look forward to seeing any storylines that are mostly about Auggie?
We've really grown as a cast. It was really great in season 1, but season 2 was even better. Auggie is a main character in "Girl Meets Fish" which is coming up in July I think, and then in "Girl Meets Commonism." I can't tell you too much, you'll have to wait and watch.
How has your life changed since you started filming Girl Meets World?
It's cool because I get to go to places like New York and go to movie premieres.
Is it weird that your TV name is the same as your real name? Does it ever make things confusing for you?
Not really, it's kind of cool. When people see me on the street, they know my real name. It's not confusing on set because everyone's saying my real name!
