Austin & Ally: Where Are They Now?

It's hard to believe that it's been exactly one year since Austin Moon and Ally Dawson said their goodbyes to us on the season finale of Austin & Ally.

Although the show is over and we miss the characters terribly, we're happy to see that the cast of the Disney Channel show is thriving.

Curious to see what the stars who played Austin, Ally, Trisha and Dez are up to now? Scroll below to find out!

Ross Lynch

Character he played: Austin Moon

What he's up to now: In July of 2016, just a few short months after Austin & Ally came to an end, Ross starred as Mark Anthony in the Hollywood Bowl's special production of the musical A Chorus Line. We're so glad he's continuing to showcase his singing skills.

In 2017, you can expect to see him in two feature films (ahhh, Ross on the big screen at last!). His first is called Status Update, a comedy about a boy who downloads an app where his social media status updates come true. The second flick you can catch him in this year will be My Friend Dahmer, a crime-drama based off a graphic novel. We cannot wait!

Laura Marano

Character she played: Ally Dawson

What she's up to now: Laura Marano has been a very busy woman since the finale of the show. Just three days after the series ended, she introduced the world to her debut radio talk show on Radio Disney called For the Record. If you haven't heard it yet, you must—she hosts the best guest stars.

Perhaps the most exciting thing we saw from Laura this year was new music! In March, she released her debut single "Boombox" and in August she announced her second single "Lala." To top off a stellar year, Laura released a new and uplifting fragrance line in November (which smells amazing by the way). She's what we call a go-getter.

Raini Rodriguez

Character she played: Trish De la Rosa

What she's up to now: Raini hasn't played in any new roles since her time with Disney Channel, but she has kept extremely busy supporting great organizations around the world, like Lollipop Theater, a nonprofit company that brings new movie releases to hospitalized children around the nation and Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA. This girl truly does have a heart of gold.

Calum Worthy

Character he played: Dez

What he's up to now: Post Austin & Ally, Calum had several acting gigs lined up. In late 2016, he starred in YouTube Red's thriller film The Thinning and appeared in a couple episodes of Disney Channel's new show Bizaardvark. We can expect to see him in several TV shows and films this year (thank goodness, we need Calum in our life!) including a comedy-drama called Bodied and a comedy TV series Cassandra French's Finishing School. We have a feeling we'll see this guy on our small and big screens a lot more in the coming years.
