If you've been on TikTok recently, chances are that you've stumbled upon the videos of 22-year-old creator Axel Webber.
Axel has taken TikTok by storm, in part thanks to his charming 95-square foot New York City apartment, and quickly become one of the heartthrobs of TikTok. He's hilarious, genuine and kind, and even through TikTok's short-form videos, fans are falling for him, hard, through the glimpses he gives of who he is in real life.
So what exactly can you cram into a tiny apartment like his? Well, it's big enough for a twin loft bed, a keyboard and, of course, jars of his favorite food: peanut butter. If you know Axel, you're well familiar that his go-to meal is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which he refers to as an "adult sandwich." And when Axel runs out of Jelly, he'll throw some peanut butter on a slice of bread and eat it like a taco, what he calls a "paco."
Believe it or not, Axel rose to fame because he was rejected from the prestigious performing arts conservatory, Juilliard. Of course, when they discovered what happened, his viewers decided they had to intervene. They wanted the school to realize the mistake they made—but what they didn't know is that he never needed to attend school there to find success as a creator. With more than 4 million followers, he's a hit on the platform, and his zest for life, funny jokes and authentic personality make him a great candidate for further fame.
Axel has also signed a modeling contract and begun his journey into fashion. He even appeared briefly on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where he explained how he ended up in the buzzing city. Upon discovering his genuine love for NYC, he quit his day job and spent three weeks in his car before finding the apartment he lives in now.
And Axel isn't just on TikTok. He can also be found on YouTube and Instagram, going from an average guy with a dream of becoming an actor to someone we can all aspire to be more like. He makes it seem that anything is possible, and he inspires his viewers to chase their dreams with a smile and an optimistic attitude.
If you're anything like us, you'll continue to follow Axel along on his creative journey through New York City. If you ask us, getting rejected from Juilliard might be the best thing that's ever happened to him. Clearly, he's doing just fine with them.
