The Brand

I've been shopping at ban.do for years since they offer so many affordable and cute options for the home, closet, desk situation and more. Whether you're on the hunt for a killer pair of sunnies or a fun graphic tee, ban.do has you covered.

Perhaps my favorite thing they have to offer, though, is their selection of daily planners. Featuring adorable covers and interactive pages, they will keep you organized from day to day and throughout the entirety of the year.

The Product

Medium 17-Month Academic Planner in Secret Garden: $28.95

ban.do's planner landing page is full of 17-month notebooks, with the dates changing as the months do in real-time. I was sent an Aug. 2021 to Dec. 2022 planner, which is absolutely perfect for me and my needs.

Each morning when I go to my desk, I look at my planner to see what's on my agenda for the day. And since I was sent this one prior to Aug., I started filling in everything for the month right away. From article deadlines to pilates classes and meetings to vacations, I have everything I need in one handy-dandy place.

I chose the Secret Garden print in a medium size, which I think is great for everyday use. It's not too big and is easy to travel with, which is a must for me. Plus, the laminated cover means it won't get all torn up when I'm on the go.

When it comes to planners, I'm not just about efficiency. I think a level of interaction and fun is super important, too! Upon opening it, there's a page dedicated to all the artists who are represented. How cool is that? There are mind games, plenty of spaces to doodle, questions to answer and more.

Perhaps my favorite part of the planner is the sticker section. With three pages of stickers to choose from, I was able to describe myself on the "Say It With Stickers" page. It's inventive, fun and something I think I'll look at often.

Next up in the planner is a tab dedicated to holidays and then it starts to go into the month-by-month section—the place I'll be spending most of my time in. Of course, there's a general overview of the month in a grid form (which tbh I don't use) and the week-by-week breakdown (which I do use).

At the beginning of each month, there's a section titled "This Month's Priorities." I think it's a great way to start out your week on a good note and to keep you excited for the future. Here, you get to write down something fun, something calming, something important, something healthy and something for me. For the something fun section, for example, I wrote down "Cabo." I'm going there at the end of the month and I couldn't be more excited!

And finally, onto the main event, the week-by-week breakdown. When I first saw it wasn't in a vertical format, I'll be honest— I wasn't too sure I was going to like it. And it definitely took some getting used to. I've only been using this for about two weeks, but I'm already really liking the format.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are on the left page with even spaces, while Thursday and Friday share the same spaces on the right page, with Saturday and Sunday having smaller spaces toward the bottom. I've found that color coordinating is best for organizing and differentiating between different tasks. So for example, I have three different colored pens in black, pink and green, and each color has a different duty. I suggest using colors for things like homework, tests and events if you're in school, or projects, meetings and deadlines if you have a job.

Bottom Line

All in all, I'm super happy with my new planner from ban.do. And while I wish they would offer more layouts, it's definitely not a deal-breaker. At a great price, you truly can't find anything better. I couldn't recommend this daily planner enough.
