BBGIRLS Dish on Their Re-Debut With Warner Music Korea and Their Future Steps

In February, Brave Girls released their final single, "Goodbye," officially parting ways with their company Brave Entertainment and ultimately leaving fans unsure of their future. But just a couple of moths later, the K-pop quartet announced their return under a new name, BBGIRLS, and company, Warner Music Korea.

On Aug. 3, dropped the first taste of their newest era with two singles, "ONE MORE TIME," a retro, R&B-inspired song that samples Rick James' "Give It to Me Baby," and "LEMONADE," a modern, groovy and tropical pop track. As member Yuna reveals to Sweety High, the "two contrasting sounds represent the styles we want to show people as BBGIRLS."

Continue scrolling to learn what BBGIRLS had to say about their return to K-pop and what fans can expect in the future.

Sweety High: How does it feel to now be BBGIRLS? What does the new name mean to the group?

Minyoung: It is our new beginning as Minyoung, Youjoung, Eunji and Yuna.

Since its our re-debut, we have to put a lot of effort into creating an album that shows all our colors well. It is really exciting to rebrand and move forward with the new name, BBGIRLS, which stands for "Breaking Barriers" and is a name that would still sound familiar to our fans and the public.

SH: Tell us about the new title track, "ONE MORE TIME." What was the inspiration behind the song? What does it mean to you?

Eunji: We heard a lot of demos while preparing for this project, and "ONE MORE TIME" was the song that stood out most to us. It was unanimous between all the members and our label. It has a distinctive, retro and catchy sounds that portray the message of beginning again.

SH: What is the story behind the "ONE MORE TIME" music video? Does the group have any favorite moments from the shoot?

Youjoung: The music video portrays our story. There is a part where we stand in a line, then disperse and gather again. It's a similar situation to when our members were separated and reunited.

My favorite moment from the shoot was the catering. The food and snacks were absolutely phenomenal, and the members and our staff enjoyed everything very much.
