Shopping These Beauty Brands Also Gives Back to LGBTQIA+ Causes This Pride Month
Planning to wear a face full of vibrant and colorful rainbow makeup all Pride Month long? It turns out that shopping your favorite cosmetics brands this June can also support the LGBTQ+ community.
That's because some of the biggest names in makeup are participating in giveback initiatives and sharing great new collections and products to celebrate all month long. NYX Professional Makeup Chosen Family Campaign: $8+
This Pride Month, NYX Professional Makeup's Chosen Family campaign stars creative collective House of Avalon as it highlights some of the brand's best-selling products in vivid rainbow colors. And NYX doesn't just give back to the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride Month, having a year-round partnership with the Los Angeles LGBT Center through their Proud Allies for All campaign. To donate, they've donated more than half a million dollars to LGBTQIA+ orgs and provided more than 4,000 meals for the center—and they're just getting started. They'll also be participating in the L.A. Pride Parade this year.

Urban Decay 'LOUD + PROUD' Vinyl Record Pride Collaboration with 12on12: $75
On June 1, cosmetics brand Urban Decay launched a collaboration with 12ON12, debuting the LOUD + PROUD record featuring 12 tracks about freedom, pride and self-expression, with artwork by Thaddeus Coates. For every sale, $50 will be donated to Stonewall Community Foundation, so you can listen to some empowering tunes while you work on your Pride looks.

MAC Cosmetics 40 Shades or Pride Eye Shadow Vault: $150
MAC Cosmetics just unveiled its celebratory 40th birthday and Pride Month release, the MAC 40 Shades of Pride Eye Shadow Vault. The limited-edition rainbow palette features 40 glorious shades from the past four decades, with every penny spent on the collection going to the brand's philanthropic program, M·A·C VIVA GLAM. The program gives back to human rights charities around the globe, including LGBTQIA+ community-focused orgs such as It Gets Better, The Trevor Project and Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Did you know that since 2019, Sally Hansen and Coty brands have donated more than $600,000 to GLAAD to support changing the culture around LGBTQ+ acceptance? They're keeping the support going for the sixth year in a row with the Sally Hansen x GLAAD Pride Collection, featuring lovely polishes in metallic rainbow colors, plus press-on designs in bi, trans and queer pride colors. The packaging was also designed by queer artist Shanée Benjamin.

On June 29 and June 30, Kiehl's is inviting the New York City community to select Sephora Locations for their new "Open Doors" NYC Pride event, aiming to provide safe housing and resources for LGBTQIA2+ homeless youth. For every $100 spent on Kiehl's products at Sephora Hell's Kitchen on June 29 and Sephora Broadway on June 30, Kiehl's will donate a hygiene kit to the Ali Forney Center, in addition to a $150,000 donation being made to the center. Kiehl's also proudly funds HIV/AIDS research and suicide prevention and has sponsored the NYC Pride March for 27 years, donating more than $18.6 million since 2015.
