Fun Facts:

1. As one of the performers at this year's M3F Festival, she's super excited to visit Phoenix, Arizona, for the first time.

"I have never been, and I've always wanted to go. I'm really excited to see what the place has to offer and to see what the crowds are like."

-Becky Hill

2. She loves seeing a crowd get lost in her performances.

"I was once doing a gig at a university, and all of a sudden, halfway through the gig, there was a young person in a wheelchair that got lifted up and was crowd surfing, having the time of their life. it was the most heartwarming thing I've ever seen. I brought them right to the front and watched them have a great, great, great gig."

3. She's the youngest child of five.

"I've always been looked after quite well, and everybody's kind of taken care of me and made sure I've been okay. But with that comes quite a clumsy person. I'm very clumsy, and I could never really be trusted to do certain stuff, which has kind of followed me around. My family still thinks I can't do things properly, so I've had to learn how to have the confidence to do stuff on my own and be an adult."

4. Kelis is one of her biggest heroes.

"I think what she has done in dance music has been incredible, and she was doing the female dance artist before a lot of people were. Her music is incredible and very forward-thinking and still sounds really fresh to this day. To see what a woman can do in dance music, but particularly a Black woman in dance music can do, and be as fearless as she was, is a real inspiration for me and many other people."

5. She's also a huge Bon Iver fan.

"I found their music when I was 13 years old, and I was hooked. I've been to see them in concert two or three times now, and I absolutely love them."

7. She doesn't follow style trends much, and her own style is inspired by the dress-up games she played as a little girl.

"I love dressing up in everything sparkly, fun, and feathery. Anything that has some sort of texture to it, I love wearing it."

-Becky Hill

8. Her current favorite pieces of clothing are her wide-leg, high-waisted jeans in various colors.

"I love the idea that they go really long down my leg. When I was a kid, my sister used to come home with her long flared jeans, and they were wet all the way up to her knees because they would drag along the floor and suck up all the puddles, and I definitely live that life, too."

9. She's always wanted to learn to drive.

11. Becky says at her core, she's all about honesty.
