Benson Boone Illuminates the Stage on His Fireworks & Rollerblades World Tour

Benson Boone brought his Fireworks & Rollerblades World Tour to Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday, April 28.

The singer-songwriter performed around an hour and a half set, with the perfect pacing of slower songs to more upbeat songs, and I was in attendance to witness the whole spectacle.

Benson kicked off the show with a piano version of "Intro," which transitioned into a more upbeat take on the track. "Cry," my personal favorite song, was executed so well live, with the glitch between its slower start to a faster pace. He also performed some other fan favorites including "Slow It Down," "GHOST TOWN," and, of course, "Beautiful Things."

Benson's stage presence was something incredible, with an energy even bigger than the 4,000-seat Palladium could contain. He illuminated the stage with his impressive vocals, piano skills and multiple backflips. The songster also showed his gratitude to his fans on multiple occasions, making the crowd erupt in cheers.

There was one particular moment that struck me more than anything during Benson's set. He requested everyone to put their phones down during "In the Stars," and for the first time in my many years of attending concerts, everyone around me actually did just that. The moment was ethereal, with everyone getting emotional, singing along without a phone in sight. It also showed true power from Benson's stage control and presence. He is destined for great things in the future and a budding career that continues to take him to new heights.

After the concert ended, the party continued, with Benson's and Spotify hosting an after-dark party for fans. There was free food, custom Benson Boone tote bags and, of course, roller skating. The party was a blast that also featured some surprises. Benson showed up himself to skate on the rink, reiterate his thankfulness to his fans and also tease an unreleased song titled "Pretty Slowly." Overall, the vibes were just as fun as the concert and a great way to end the night. I can't wait to see what Benson accomplishes next.
