The Best Products Our Beauty Editors Tried in May

Every month, our beauty editors try out all sorts of products, just for you.

Whether it's the latest thing on TikTok, makeup from a cult-favorite brand or new skincare from an indie brand not many people know, we enjoy testing out beauty products with the hope of finding ones you will love—and this month was a doozy. We tried out tons of products, but only a select few piqued our interest and were good enough to make this list. So whether you're looking for something to blow your money on at Sephora or you're just on the hunt for some great new products to try, continue below for the best products our beauty editors tried in May.

Tarte Maneater Waterproof Mascara: $24

We're always looking for a new mascara to try out, and while the Tarte Maneater Waterproof Mascara definitely isn't new on the market, it does deserve to be put back on everyone's radars. This mascara is a favorite in the beauty community for a reason—us included! Not only can you expect lengthened lashes, but also lashes with volume and curl. You'll see results after just one coat, but we definitely suggest doing at least two on each eye to really see them pop. And the best part is that they're waterproof, so you can wear them to the gym or pool with no worries!

Otis Custom Night Guard: $99.95

We try out oral hygiene products from time to time, and since one of our editors is a major tooth grinder, she was more than excited to try out this custom night guard from Otis. And guess what? She won't shut up about it! Made with a soft liner that won't irritate your gums and a hard outer surface that won't harm your teeth, this night guard has been proven to help tooth grinders get a much better night's sleep.

Essence Glimmer Glow Lipstick: $3.99

We've all heard of Tom Ford's Balm Frost, but if you're not looking to spend $58 on a lip balm, we suggest trying out a super cost-friendly alternative. The Glimmer Glow Lipstick from Essence features a clear balm with glitter crystals embedded throughout, but instead of going on clear, the formula actually targets your lips' natural pH levels, leaving you with a natural, rosy finish.

It's A 10 Miracle Hair Mask Deep Conditioner: $36

Even though most of us don't necessarily look forward to hair wash days, what does make them more exciting is incorporating a hydrating mask. After using this one from It's A 10, we think we've found one of the best deep conditioning masks out there! With ingredients like sweet almond oil, oat kernel extract, apricot kernel oil and linseed extract, this mask will deeply condition your hair in just two to three minutes! You can expect your hair to be entangled, softer, smoother, less frizzy and more luminous.
