Best Concealers for Acne-Prone Skin

There's no way around it, acne sucks.

That's why we enlisted the insight of Dr. Lamees Hamdan, CEO and Founder of Shiffa skincare, who shares what to avoid when it comes to applying products to acne-prone skin.

"For acne-prone skin, try avoiding creamy makeup, and if you can, forgo liquid foundations altogether," Dr. Hamdan tells Sweety High. "However, different skins react uniquely so it might be trial and error before you find something that doesn't cause you to break out."

Hamdan also suggests applying cover-up using clean tools like a foundation brush or beauty blender type of sponge. Keeping these clean means washing them every day if possible, as these tools are a breeding ground for bacteria and can add to the breakout cycle.
