A Definitive Ranking of All the Best Crumbl Cookie Flavors

There's a reason why everyone freaks out every time a new Crumbl Cookies store opens up.

If you've ever had one, you'll know exactly what we're talking out. Since bursting into the sweets scene (not to mention our taste buds) in 2017, this cookie chain has created quite the name for itself with its outstanding combination of classic and inventive flavors.

With a menu of just six flavors that rotate weekly, you're not always guaranteed to get your hands on your go-to favorite when you're lucky enough to step foot into your nearest Crumbl. However, that doesn't mean that whichever flavors fall into your lap aren't going to be worth a taste! While we love every flavor that Crumbl has crafted for their beloved boxes of cookies, we decided to make your life a little easier by whipping up a definitive ranking of their best flavors.

38. Caramel Popcorn

Salty, sweet and sticky are just three words to describe caramel-covered popcorn, but they could also be used for this decadently caramelly cookie from Crumbl. We're starting off our list of the definitive ranking of the best Crumbl cookie flavors with one beloved by adventurous eaters and those who never stray from the classics: the Caramel Popcorn cookie. What really makes this one, besides the chewy cookie and popcorn topping, is the thick and delicious caramel frosting, which is so good we could almost eat it with a spoon (but we won't, because we can eat it off this cookie instead).

37. Confetti

This may be one of Crumbl's simplest cookies of all time, but that doesn't mean it's not great. It all starts with the brand's iconic soft sugar cookie base, and is sprinkled with little bits of crunchy, sweet confetti to keep it simple, yet totally satisfying. We recommend eating this one while it's still piping hot, because the gooier the sugar cookie, the tastier it becomes.

36. Confetti Cake

This confetti option is a bit different from the basic Confetti cookie. If you're a fan of all things birthday cake flavored (or just licking the spoon when baking one), then this cake batter cookie topped with cake batter frosting is just the flavor for you. Oh yeah, did we mention that frosting is cake batter cream cheese frosting? Add this one to your box and thank us later.

35. Dulce de Leche

This wonderful, chilled cookie is a luscious delight. The cookie itself is lightly spiced with cinnamon for a hint of warmth, while the layer of dulce de leche caramel is perfectly sticky and sweet and elevated further with a buttery dollop of frosting.

34. Chocolate Cake

If you're not a chocolate lover, steer clear of this rich, indulgent cookie that's all about the cocoa from top to bottom. It starts with a soft yet boldly flavored chocolate cookie embedded with semi-sweet chocolate chips and is topped with a swirl of ultra-thick, ultra-flavorful fudge frosting. Even though it's chocolate-on-chocolate, there's also some complexity and darkness to the experience, which makes it even more special.

33. Pink Sugar Cookie

This might be an unpopular opinion (based on the way we constantly see people beg Crumbl's social media to take this cookie off the menu) but Crumbl's Pink Sugar Cookie is classic for a reason. The cookie itself is ridiculously tender, with the perfect bite and just the right amount of sweetness, while the smooth pink frosting ties the whole thing together with a hint of almond flavor. We know that marzipan-like taste isn't everyone's cup of tea, but we happen to appreciate that this one is a staple that rarely goes away.

32. Original Featuring M&M's Candies

There's something about M&M's that's so classic and iconic, so add it to Crumbl's unbeatable cookie dough, and you've got a match made in heaven. The M&M's add the perfect amount of crunch and heaps of milk chocolatey goodness to even gooey bite, making this a must-order every type in returns to the menu.

31. Iced Oatmeal

Iced Oatmeal may sound like the dullest cookie in the entire Crumbl lineup, but we promise you that this one is worth ordering when it graces the menu. They just know what they're doing when it comes to the classics, and the cinnamon goodness of this cookie pairs beautifully with the texture of the oats, and is elevated with the cream cheese glaze to make this the ultimate in oatmeal cookies.

30. Cotton Candy

While this Cotton Candy-flavored cookie certainly won't delight everyone, there's something about its unique combination of a crumbly vanilla cookie with fruity cotton candy cream cheese frosting and bold pink and blue cotton candy popping candy that has us hooked. It's got loads of sugar-sweetness in every bite, making it unlike any other cookie we've ever snacked on.

29. Peanut Butter Creme ft. Nutter Butter

Here's one for serious peanut butter fanatics only. The Peanut Butter Creme cookie starts with a wonderfully soft peanut butter cookie, enhanced even further with smooth and luscious peanut buttery buttercream and topped with crispy bits of real crumbled Nutter Butter cookies. It's nutty, salty and satisfying and will have you reaching for a cold glass of milk in the best way.

28. Strawberry Cupcake

We'd be lying if we said that Strawberry Cupcake was a cookie we were dying to try, but after one bite, we regretted not ordering more than one. Not only is the vanilla cookie just the right texture, but the strawberry cream cheese frosting has all of the tart brightness of fresh-picked strawberries, giving it an authentic fruitiness with wonderfully balanced sweetness.

27. Mint Brownie

Few things pair quite so well as mint and chocolate (you'll be seeing the combo again on this list!), and they're even better when you blend the crisp coolness of peppermint with a rich chocolate brownie. The two go hand in hand to be even more enjoyable than either on their own, and a thick layer or chocolate ganache makes this cookie even better.

26. Waffle

A Waffle cookie may sound bizarre, but there's something about its flavor that makes it truly unforgettable—as well as delicious. It's really about the full experience, as the subtly sweet cookie is pressed to have the classic waffle grooves and comes served with a dollop of fresh buttercream, plus a packet of syrup for dipping to really bring home the sensation of eating a hot-from-the-iron waffle.

25. Cookies & Cream Milkshake

We're not sure how Crumbl managed to make a cookie taste exactly like a rich vanilla milkshake, packed with Oreo bits, but they truly worked their magic in this one. The chilled cookie has a creamy layer of frosting, packed with cookie pieces, in addition to the cookies baked into the dough itself. We especially love the tasty detail of the mini cookie on top.

24. Dulce De Leche

If there's one dessert that we could all just easily sink into like a cool pillow at the end of a long day, it's dulce de leche. This traditional Latin American dessert gets a tasty twist in the form of this Crumbl Cookie flavor though, which is built with a perfectly spiced cinnamon cookie (think snickerdoodle) that's covered in rich dulce de leche before being topped with delicious dulce de leche cream cheese frosting. This one is on our definitive list of bests because it wins major points for both flavor and aesthetics. Your Instagram story will thrive if you manage to snap a pic of that perfect swirl on top before biting in.

23. Churro

There's something about the combination of cinnamon and sugar that's just so right, and they come together like magic in the form of Crumbl's Churro cookie. It's essentially a moist, mouth-watering snickerdoodle elevated even further with a layer of perfect cinnamon buttercream, and the classic duo of sugar and spice have never been better.

22. Maple Oatmeal Cookie

Maple Oatmeal Cookie is another one of those flavors that sounds just okay on paper, but is a veritable flavor explosion in real life. The oatmeal cookie itself has an incredible texture, with cinnamon and maple flavors baked right in, while the glaze reminds us of a decadent maple bar donut and the streusel adds even more lovely crunch.

21. Dark Dream

Here's another cookie for anyone who just can't get enough of chocolate. The cookie base is super rich but not too sweet, and it doesn't need to be, thanks to the ample semi-sweet chocolate chips embedded throughout. The only reason you wouldn't love this cookie is if you're not into chocolate—but is there such a thing as a cookie-lover who isn't?

20. Key Lime Pie

This is one dessert that really blurs the line between cookie and pie, but we're not made about it. The cookie is served on a chilled graham cracker cookie shaped like a pie crust and topped with a zesty, creamy lime filling, as well as a dollop of whipped cream, graham crumbs and a slice of fresh lime for good measure. It takes everything incredible about key lime pie and puts it into an easy-to-eat cookie, and while it won't be to everyone's taste, we can't get enough.

19. French Silk Pie

Can you tell we're slightly obsessed with Crumbl's takes on iconic pies? This one is for chocolate enthusiasts, with a rich but not-too-sweet pie cookie (complete with fluted edges) and filled with a silky, airy chocolate mouse, topped with a beautiful swirl of whipped cream and bold chocolate curls. It's just so light and beautiful it's all too easy to eat in a single sitting.

18. S'mores

We've seen a few iterations of the S'mores cookie over time, and the most recent version has to be the best. It all starts with a scrumptious graham cracker cookie, both embedded with milk chocolate chips and drizzled in smooth chocolate and topped with both a gooey, toasted marshmallow and graham cracker crumbles. The magic really is in the caramelization of the marshmallow.

17. Blueberry Crumb Cake

Lemon and blueberry truly are one of the greatest flavor combinations of all time, and they come together like magic in this Blueberry Crumb Cake cookie. The cookie itself is infused with graham cracker goodness as well as tart lemon to create an incredible base, with a generous amount of sweet blueberries within the cookie, as well as a lemon glaze and fresh blueberries on top. We only wish there were even more glaze on this iconic cookie.

16. Lemon Poppyseed

We weren't expecting much from the Lemon Poppyseed cookie the first time we tried it, and we were very pleasantly surprised when we had our first taste. To start, the sugar cookie base is so vibrant with lemon flavor and packed with poppyseed, and while the tasty lemon glaze would be enough, the cookie also has a layer of luscious lemon curd in the center, making it a lemon lover's dream come true.

15. Peanut Butter Banana

This may be a more recent addition to the Crumbl lineup, but its unique combination of flavors makes it instantly iconic. Take a delicious oat cookie and top it with a thick, rich layer of creme filled with real banana flavor and drizzle it with just the right amount of peanut butter to get a light, delectable dessert that makes us feel like the kings of the jungle.

14. Pink Doughnut

Now, here's a cookie that caught us by surprise. This simple cookie should be super basic, but there's something about the combination of the super-soft vanilla cookie and its perfect pink glaze and sprinkles that's so decadent, and truly reminiscent of the classic Simpsons-styled donut. It does lose points, however, for the hole in the middle. We know they're going for realism, but that's another nibble we would have liked in our tummies!

13. Raspberry Cheesecake

This special cookie truly has something for everyone. The graham cracker-y cookie base tastes just like buttery pie crust, while the vanilla cheesecake frosting is rich and smooth with just the right sweetness—but it all comes together with the raspberry topping. The jam is so fresh, balancing sweetness and tartness and complementing the other parts of the cookie to make it all too easy to scarf down.

12. Peppermint Oreo

Peppermint haters, look away (or keep reading to be tempted to give this seasonal flavor a try). The Peppermint Oreo Crumbl cookie is the perfect treat for those who love everything about the holidays, or even who simply put Thin Mints at the top of their Girls Scout Cookie favorites. The reason we included this on our list of best Crumbl cookie flavors is that it isn't so terribly niche or overdone like some of the other seasonals can be. In fact, it's a perfectly balanced delight made with a chocolate cookie, peppermint frosting and crushed candy cane on top. And no, you won't be left with any of that toothpaste-tasting after effect, either.

11. Butterscotch Chip

How is it that Crumbl makes even the simplest of cookies so good? This cookie should be basic, but with the perfect sweet base and loads of buttery, sweet butterscotch chips and a sprinkle of flakey, crunchy salt, this cookie is transcendent—especially while it's still piping hot.

10. Blueberry Muffin

If there was a ranking for the Crumbl Cookies that make us feel cozy and nostalgic, this one might be at the very top. Somehow, this cookie perfectly mimics the flavor of a fresh-baked blueberry muffin, right out of the oven, and makes it even better, with fresh berries in every bite and a tangy crumble to die for. It's one you definitely want to eat hot.

9. Cookie Dough

Wait, a fully baked cookie made to taste like an unbaked one? Yep, it's true—and it's a flavor that only the evil geniuses at Crumbl could come up with. For all the cookie dough (or even cookie dough ice cream) lovers out there, this one is a standby best flavor that features a chewy, pleasantly chilled brown sugar cookie topped with cookie dough ice cream-inspired buttercream frosting and, of course, chocolate chip cookie dough pieces. If you're looking for a flavor that takes your go-to chocolate chip up a notch without going too far out of the box, this one is it.

8. Mint Chip Ice Cream

We don't know how Crumbl consistently captures the flavor of classic desserts and packs all of their goodness into cookies, but their magic truly shines in the Mint Chip Ice Cream cookie. It's chilled to give you that ice cream experience, consisting of a sugar cookie with chocolate chips and topped with a creamy, ice cream-like mint chip mousse, topped with a swirl of whipped cream for the full experience.

7. Blueberry Cheesecake

Fruit lovers rejoice, we're here with the first majorly fruit-forward flavor on this list of Crumbl's best flavors. Something about blueberry just pairs so well with the texture of the graham cracker cookie and zesty creaminess of the cheesecake frosting, making it a mature, well-balanced cookie that's crave-worthy for all.

6. Reese's Peanut Butter Cup

Don't worry, peanut butter lovers, we haven't forgotten about you. Quite the contrary, in fact—Crumbl's peanut butter-heavy flavors are simply so good that they deserved a spot closer to the finish line on this list of bests. The Reese's PB Cup flavor is a perfectly crumbly take on a classic peanut butter cookie, especially thanks to the chunks of peanut butter cup running through the base plus peanut butter topping and a final finish of crushed PB cups on top makes it a perfect 10 for anyone with a taste for a good old fashioned Reese's.

5. Buckeye Brownie

Speaking of peanut butter, we couldn't get too far into this list of the best Crumbl cookies without mentioning the unique and oh-so-delectable Buckeye Brownie cookie. If you've never had a buckeye—a sweet made with peanut butter, powdered sugar and plenty of chocolate—you're truly missing out, but you won't have to for much longer if your local Crumbl has this buckeye-inspired cookie stocked. It's a dense chocolatey cookie that looks more like a well-baked brownie stuffed with melty chocolate chips and topped with the classic Buckeye-filling and chocolate sauce to tie it all in together (if you weren't already in a chocolate coma from reading all of that). Oh, and to put the cherry on top, it's served warm.

4. Chocolate Cookies & Cream

This decadently delicious chocolate-packed cookie is the stuff dreams are made of. It starts with a dense, rich chocolate dough and is packed with both chunks of cookies & cream sandwich pieces and luscious white chocolate chips, making for a smooth combination of sweetness that's never overwhelming or cloying. Believe us when we say you should dig into this one before you leave the parking lot.

3. Kentucky Butter Cake

This might be an unpopular opinion, but it's the simplicity of Crumbl's Kentucky Butter Cake cookie that puts it toward the top of our list. Imagine the warmest, gooiest cookie dough, but made every butterier, with a tiny hint of salt, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar for good measure. It reminds us of the classic Chocolate Chip cookie, but without the chocolate, and manages to stand alone thanks to its mouthwatering flavor.

2. Biscoff Lava

This cookie is literally bursting with flavor—in the form of ooey, gooey Biscoff spread (a Nutella-like creation made from speculoos cookies for a buttery smooth spread), that is. This stuffed cookie could easily become a Biscoff-overload, but Crumbl cracked the code on how to keep it all perfectly balanced with the right mix of cookie, filling and dream-worthy topping.

1. Chocolate Chip

And finally, the winner that deserves a spot in your pretty pink box of cooke every time you visit a Crumbl location: the eternal and original chocolate chip cookie. This flavor was Crumbl's first (and only, for a while), and it's not hard to see why it's remained a staple ever since. Yes, it's a "normal" flavor that's far from the more adventurous ones—looking at you, Cornbread, Peach Cobbler, Waffle and Cinnamon Fry Bread—but it has just enough of a spin that it's worth not messing with a classic. This iconic flavor features milk chocolate chips rather than traditional semi-sweet, and it hits the sweet spot (pun intended) for its mix of buttery softness and sweet-but-not-cloying chocolatiness. If you're craving a cookie at any time, this mainstay will soon be your go-to for curing your sweet tooth.
