The Top 5 Greatest Carpool Karaoke Sessions of All Time
After seven great years, James Corden's Carpool Karaoke series ended on April 24 in a tearful, full-circle episode with Adele, who also featured in one of its first segments.
Carpool Karaoke saw some of our favorite celebrities, from Selena Gomez to Paul McCartney, in candid moments as they sang along to their bestselling hits and did unlikely covers, with interludes of skits and banter with James. Really, showing the person behind the star was the intent of Carpool Karaoke the entire time: "There's something very humanizing about it. The songs are the glue that kind of holds it all together. But, there's an intimacy that comes from that interview, which, I think, is a humanizing environment. It's what we all do. We all sing these songs in the car," James revealed in a recent interview with CBS News.
To honor the end of Carpool Karaoke, we're highlighting our top five favorite guest appearances on the series.
Migos
Fresh off the release of Culture III, Quavo, Offset and Takeoff joined James Corden for a performance of "Walk It Talk It," "Bad and Boujee" and "MotorSport."
This episode of Carpool Karaoke was the segment in its purest form: we saw the trio singing along to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline," stepping out of their usual genre and giving us pure and enjoyable performances.

BTS
The seven members of BTS appeared on Carpool Karaoke after the release of Map of the Soul: 7, where they bonded over RM's love of Friends in a performance of the show's theme song, "I'll Be There For You," and discussed SUGA's meeting with Post Malone before a karaoke session of "Circles."
Before heading off, the septet joined James in a dance class as his official audition to become the group's eighth member.
Ariana Grande
As always, Ariana Grande delivered a flawless performance of "Dangerous Woman," "Side to Side," "God is a Woman" and "No Tears Left to Cry" before saluting her Broadway roots with a performance of Little Shop of Horrors' "Suddenly Seymour."
Near the end of the episode, Ariana poked fun at her diva allegations by asking James to carry her around a local Starbucks: "Did you know I demand to be carried everywhere? That's the kind of pop star I am," Ariana joked.

Adele
Adele's first appearance on Carpool Karaoke in 2015 was what initially put the series on our radar. The British phenom stepped out of the spotlight after releasing her breakthrough sophomore album, 21, but made a triumphant return with "Hello."
This time around, Adele took a different approach to her promotions: more than ever, we were seeing the outgoing, charismatic personality that parallels her emotional hits. While the singer still put on a brave face for her power ballads, she let loose for an iconic performance of Nicki Minaj's "Monster."
One Direction
As Directioners anxiously questioned the future of One Direction following Zayn Malik's departure and a confirmation of an indefinite hiatus, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne rallied together for one of their final group appearances in a bittersweet episode of Carpool Karaoke.
The quartet performed music from Up All Night to Made in the A.M., showing off their five years of impromptu harmonization skills and agile vocal ability. The best part of all—they still had the charming personalities and undeniable chemistry that made the world fall in love with One Direction in the first place.
