These Are a Few of Our Favorite Makeup and Skincare Brands We Discovered at Beautycon
We don't know about you, but we had one heck of a weekend.
Why, you may ask? We were lucky enough to attend Beautycon at the Los Angeles Convention Center this past Saturday and Sunday.
An empowering experience, we had a blast roaming the expo hall, testing out all sorts of hair, makeup and skincare products from a variety of brands.
While every booth was done up to the nines and there were so many new items we discovered, the 11 brands below were by far our fave things about the convention. Scroll below to get acquainted with them!
The Gypsy Shrine
If you're obsessed with glitter, allow us to introduce you to the Gypsy Shrine. Specializing in glitter and gems for your body and face, you'll shine brighter than a diamond decked out in their products.
We were lucky enough to get our faces covered in their glitter and gems. Let us tell you something, it was a magical experience and definitely boosted our moods.
Shawn Mendes Signature
We somehow missed the memo that Shawn Mendes released a perfume, so we were instantly intrigued when we spotted his booth at Beautycon. You know you've made it when you have your own fragrance.
With notes of McIntosh apples and sugar maple, the scent is equal parts sweet and refreshing. We'll safely say this is one of our fave celebrity perfumes yet.
Impressions Vanity Company
Everyone needs a good mirror in their lives, and Impressions Vanity Company can provide you with just that. Most of their mirrors come with LED lighting, so you'll better be able to see how well your makeup is going on.
What caught our eye, however, was their GlowMe Selfie Ring Light. You can clip it to your iPhone to snap a flawless selfie every time. We're about it.
The Vamp Stamp
Perfecting winged eyeliner requires lots and lots of trial and error. If you're someone who is a bit impatient and wants the perfect cat eye on the first try, the Vamp Stamp is for you.
Add some eyeliner to this patented stamp, line it up with the corner of your eye and voila! It even comes in three different sizes, so you can opt for a more mellow or dramatic wing based on how you're feeling that day.
Peach Slices
One of the cutest skincare brands around, we were instantly drawn to these products because of their adorable packaging. We've tried out their Acne Dot Spots before and they work wonders. Now we just need to test out all of their masks, which shouldn't be too difficult considering they only cost around $3. Did we forget to mention that Peach Slices is incredibly affordable? Just another reason we love them.
Double Dare Spa
Also specializing in skincare, Double Dare Spa produces luxurious masks for various types of skin problems that are so inexpensive.
While their masks are amazing, what really caught our attention was their OMG! Mega Hair Band. This nifty item will keep all of your hair (even the smallest of strands) off of your face when you're applying a mask or makeup.
Kopari
Do you find yourself gravitating towards more natural and organic products? You'll want to check out Kopari. All of their products start with 100% organic coconut oil and build from there. Your skin will thank you for taking care of it with these products.
PopBeauty
PopBeauty is a super affordable makeup company with fun and vibrant products that will help you stand out in the crowd.
The reason we became fans of them is Contour 101 kit. Our contouring and highlighting skills aren't the strongest, and we often feel a little intimidated by the tutorials out there showcasing how to contour and highlight. With this kit, it keeps it super simple. It shows you where to apply the highlight, blush and sculpt in one convenient picture. Seriously, you can't go wrong adding this product to your makeup arsenal.
Zodica Perfumery
We're all about the zodiac signs, which is why we're obsessed with Zodica Perfumery. They have created a unique scent for each zodiac sign. How amazing is that? Each fragrance is a little on the pricey side, with the cheapest option costing $30, but that's the price you pay for a signature scent.
Doctor Lip Bang's
Doctor Lip Bang's specializes in lip balm that (wait for it) buzzes. You're probably wondering what that means, so were we. We found out that due to the essential oils in these all-natural balms, they cause your lips to buzz a bit when you apply them. It kind of feels like if Pop Rocks were to explode on your lips. Don't let it scare you, the buzzing sensation actually adds extra moisture to your lips, leaving them silky smooth all day long.
Elora Lane
Have a passion for false lashes? Elora Lane is here for you. Costing $22 per month, Elora Lane is a lash subscription service that delivers five sets of falsies to your front door. It doesn't get much better than that.
Of course, these aren't the only beauty items we adore. Discover which items from FabFitFub we're stoked to be using more HERE.
