These Are the 7 Best Scented Lotions We’ve Ever Smelled

Whether you're not yet ready to commit to a perfume, or you simply just want your skin to stay hydrated, scented lotions are the way to go.

Not only do they keep your skin smooth all day, but they serve up a nice hint of fragrance, without overdoing it.

As people who use (and even layer!) scented lotions on the reg, we've pretty much tried 'em all, and we're here to bring you the best—so that you don't have to go digging through the worst. Some of these are a bit of a splurge, but well worth the extra spend.

Keep scrolling for our seven fave scented lotions:

Sol de Janeiro's Brazilian Bum Bum Crème: $45

If you've ventured into Sephora recently, you've probably seen this delicious-scented lotion on full display. It's not only a hit product in stores—it's also huge in the Sweety High offices. Basically, we all walk around smelling the same. It's magical scent? Pistachio caramel! The combo may sound odd, but it's pure genius. Keep in mind that a little goes a long way with this product, so don't overdo it!

Bath & Body Works' Cucumber Melon Body Lotion: $12.50

This beloved classic is actually discontinued—but thank goodness, you can still purchase it online. The light and airy scent isn't overpowering in the slightest, but it'll last you through the day. We wore this lotion all through high school, and we're still wearing it now!

Molton Brown London's Gingerlily Nourishing Body Lotion: $42

We're big fans of anything Molton Brown. From their hand washes, to body gel, to candles and holiday sets, when it comes to home fragrance and bath and body, this is the brand that's got it covered. But our favorite (and one of their most feminine) is their Gingerlily body lotion. Packed with notes of ginger, cardamom and white lily, this nearly perfect light scent can be layered for a night out, or worn on its own for a day at school.

Wen's Ultra Nourishing Intensive Body Treatment: $80

Packed with soothing extracts and essential oils, including lavender, eucalyptus and mandarin orange peel, this deeply hydrating cream, brought to you by famed hair impresario Chaz Dean, not only smells divine, but will keep you smooth throughout the day. And given its thickness, this hefty plastic jar will last you a long time.

Kai's Body Butter: $52

One of the lightest, most feminine fragrances on the list, Kai's body butter has been a ladies' bathroom staple for years. Chock full of various vitamins, oils and extracts of chamomile, lavender and cucumber, this is an incredibly fresh scent and a perfect accompaniment to a sunny summer day. And if you're feeling extra girly, their rose body lotion (which smells similar to the body butter) is the perfect touch, especially for day-to-day wear when you don't want to be smothered in an overpowering aroma.

Caudalíe's Crème Gourmande Mains et Ongles: $15

Citrus lovers, this scent is for you! Not only do Caudelìe's products nourish like crazy, but this hand and nail crème smells divine. Citrus is a nearly unanimously favored scent, so whether you want to appeal to your crush, or simply just enjoy the aroma, you really can't go wrong with this pick.

Malin + Goetz's Rum Body Lotion: $35

Want to feel like you're on vacation—but from your desk? This body lotion is not only the popular skincare brand's best-selling scent, but it's the first thing you'll smell in some of the trendiest hotels across the country. And to top it off, it's not overpowering at all, so you don't need to worry about irritating your classmates.
