Self-Help Books That Will ACTUALLY Improve Your Life

We've all been there before. We excitedly crack open a new self-book, only for the first sentence to claim we can cure all of our issues through deep breaths and  self-care (which stereotypically includes bath-taking and skincare).

Don't get us wrong, both can actually be quite helpful when dealing with anxiety and stress, but they are not the end-all-be-all answers when you are trying to reach your fullest potential. That's why we've collected a list of our all-time favorite self-help books, which go a lot further than breathing exercises and face masks.

The Power of Now

Eckhart Tolle has been creating waves in the mental health space for years, and for a good reason. He's taken the teachings of different spiritual and religious figures and his years of knowledge to answer all of your most pressing and challenging questions. This book focuses on how,  if we become aware of the "now" or present moment, we can develop an inner peace that will follow us in all aspects of our daily life. The book is also available in journal form!
