Billboard’s Women In Music Event Honors Female Music Icons!

The Billboard Women In Music event was held on Friday, December 12, honoring the biggest gals in the music industry including Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and many, many more!

Hundreds of women and so many of our favorite stars gathered in New York to honor women who've made a difference, and to accept their awards!

Honorees including "Trailblazer" Hayley Williams, "Hitmaker" Charli XCX, "Breakthrough" Idina Menzel, "Rising Star" Ariana Grande, "Icon" Aretha Franklin, "Powerhouse" Jessie J and "Chart Topper" Iggy Azalea.

Taylor Swift was named Billboard Woman Of the Year, considering the award an early birthday present! Ingrid Michelson honored her by performing Taylor's new song, "Clean," and Aretha Franklin also sang "Happy Birthday" to her!

The show also included Betty Who's performance of Ariana Grande's "Love Me Harder," Colbie Caillat singing "Try" and Jessie J's "Masterpiece"!

During their acceptance speeches and in a special panel, many of the honorees talked about working to succeed, despite the challenges and the pressures they faced in the industry as women. We love that Billboard put a special day aside to celebrate females who've left such an impact!
