Watch 6 Full Hours of Netflix in Just 5 Hours With the Help of This Creative Hack

I'm going to put this bluntly: You're not watching Netflix as efficiently as you could be.

It can be tempting to binge an entire season of your favorite show in one 13-hour chunk. But what if I told you that you could shave more than two hours off that time without missing a beat of the show?  Laptop on a table viewing Netflix

It's fully possible thanks to a Google Chrome extension called Video Speed Controller.

The extension allows you to play back video at a slightly faster speed. Upping the speed by 10 or 20 percent allows you to watch your shows in a fraction of the time without it speeding up so much that it seems warped or fast-forwarded.

If you're on your Google Chrome browser, here's how to enable it:

1. Download the extension by going HERE and clicking "Add to Chrome"

2. Copy and paste chrome://plugins/ into the search bar, go there and click "Disable" under "Adobe Flash Player"

Then the next time you watch a Netflix video, just push the D button to increase the speed by 10 percent. You can do this as much as you'd like, but I recommend once or twice for the best viewing experience. If you press D a time too many, press S to decrease the speed by 10 percent.

Now you're on your way to getting precious hours of your life back (or put them back into watching other Netflix shows). And did I mention it also works on YouTube?
