This Cactus Moisturizer Is the Most Hydrating Product We’ve Tried in a While

When you think of cactus, you probably envision a prickly plant you steer clear from when roaming through the desert—but did you know its ingredients can do wonders for the face?

Boscia just launched its Cactus Water Hydrating Cream, and I tried it before it hit stores when I attended the brand's super chic Cactus Water Pool Party in Beverly Hills.

The Product

Made with Queen of the Night Cactus, aloe vera and South African Resurrection Plant Infusion, this fast-absorbing product is described as working for combination to oily skin, improving moisture levels without the weight of a heavy cream. It's recommended for priming and perfecting the skin prior to makeup application.

Its aquamarine packaging is simple, yet eye-catching, and the cream's similar-colored consistency accompanies the plastic tub perfectly.

Sold at Sephora, Boscia's Cactus Water Hydrating Cream is $38, but comes with a healthy heaping of product.

The Experience

I didn't realize how concentrated the cream is when I first gave it a whirl. I ended up using way too much, which is perfectly fine for the skin, but not necessary. Once I realized the density, I've been able to make a little amount go a long way. The product actually goes on pretty light, and keeps my skin hydrated for hours. As with any skincare product, I definitely experienced better results after properly exfoliating my skin.

Bottom Line

I have no complaints about Boscia's Cactus Water Hydrating Cream. It looks cute in my skincare cabinet, and I like how a little goes a long way, which makes its price tag well worth the semi-splurge.
