Brooke Alexx Shares the Mentality of ‘Hot’ Behind New Single, ‘Hot Like You’
Rising pop singer-songwriter Brooke Alexx is known for her relatable and irresistibly catchy earworms, and she's done it again with her latest single, "Hot Like You."
Brooke is probably best known for her viral mega-hit, "All My Exes' Moms," which recently won first place in the American Songwriter Song Contest, and her new track has been catching off just as quickly with a teaser blowing up on Instagram Reels. The bubble and effervescent pop-punk-tinged track was originally written about Brooke's sisters, transforming into a wider anthem for empowering women everywhere. It's all about going beyond appearance and tackling everything inside of us that makes someone "hot." We had the pleasure of chatting with Brooke all about the fiery new song and what its lyrics mean to her in the interview below.
The Story Behind 'Hot Like You'
Brooke Alexx: "Hot Like You" was originally written about my beautiful sisters, who turn heads when they walk into any room!
What 'Hot Like You' Means
BA: This song is about more than just physical appearance. "Hot" can be replaced with any admirable trait in a fellow woman—e.g. I want to be thoughtful like you, I want to be strong like you, I want to be fun like you, etc. Basically just saying, "You make that look effortless and I'm inspired by you." At its heart, "Hot Like You" is about empowering and celebrating the incredible women around us.

Brooke's Favorite Lyric
BA: Probably the line about Megan Fox because I feel like that Transformers scene was so iconic back when I was in middle school. Everyone can picture the scene to this day.
