BTS Started the ‘Idol’ Dance Challenge, and Here’s How It Works
The "In My Feelings" Challenge had everyone dancing this summer, and now the "Idol" Challenge is keeping it going.
BTS's J-Hope got things started in a video posted by the K-pop band's Twitter account on Monday with the hashtag #IDOLCHALLENGE, as Billboard reports, and fans have gladly accepted. Anyone can participate—as long as they're willing to learn and perform the dance.
J-Hope's original video shows the choreography, so here it is:

As you can see, he does it fast, so unless you have a dance background, it might not be easy to learn from just that. Luckily, there are fans out there who have made learning it easier. The YouTube account Ellen and Brian posted a tutorial on Tuesday that breaks down the entire "Idol" chorus, with part 2 (starting at 11:25) being the section that J-Hope did in his video.
Once you learn that, you'll be ready to post—just don't forget to include #IDOLCHALLENGE.
If you need a little inspiration, here's what fans have come up with so far:
I'm just gonna say this… I'm always scared to show people what I'm capable of because of my social anxiety but mostly because I'm an autistic 19 year old girl… but @BTS_twt made me love myself… so here is my (second) attempt at the #IDOLCHALLENGE #LoveYourself_結_Answer pic.twitter.com/aQVoPkLHj8
