5 Celebrity Duos We Want to See Star in a Rom-Com Together

Can we all agree that Hollywood is doing a great job at finding duos with that mesmerizing spark?

After watching The Little Mermaid multiple times and viewing the Barbie trailer nonstop, we realized we were in a new age of chemistry. One film is not enough when two actors work well, and it's about time we return to the era of entertainment when we'd see a pair go on to star in two or even three back-to-back rom-com movies together.

Below, find some of our favorite Hollywood stars we would love to see reunite for another film.

Zendaya & Tom Holland

Selecting Zendaya and Tom Holland as a duo might be cheating since they're dating in real life, but we have to admit: they were one of the pioneering duos in reviving real chemistry in Hollywood.

It was magical to watch the pair grow on and off the screen as MJ and Peter, and the best parts of their relationship in Spider-Man was that it was a realistic portrayal of young love. They started filming the franchise in their early 20s, and now that they're close to 30, we'd love to see them star in a more mature rom-com.

Halle Bailey & Jonah Hauer-King

We have watched The Little Mermaid a whopping three times in the theater and every single interview Halle Bailey and Jonah Hauer-King have done together, and we can now say this duo is unlike anything we've seen in years.

There were so many subtle moments between Princess Ariel and Prince Eric in the film because Ariel couldn't speak, and their attention to detail made it extremely believable. Really, we had to remind ourselves they weren't in love outside the film, too! That said, Halle and Jonah had a special connection and appreciation for their work ethic in real life, which told us that we need at least one more film between them.

Margot Robbie & Ryan Gosling

Does anyone else feel like Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken are about to become their favorite duo of 2023? Barbie and Ken are campy and chaotic in the best way possible, and Margot and Ryan's hilarious portrayal of the classic characters is making it even better.

We're surprised these two bombshells haven't worked together before, and even without seeing Barbie, we're already craving another performance together.

Lana Condor & Noah Centineo

Like Zendaya and Tom, Lana Condor and Noah Centineo were among the first to remind us how heartwarming it is to see two actors who genuinely appreciate each other. Even behind the scenes, Lana and Noah would goof around like best friends, and we all remember the iconic photo the pair took napping together.

But the best part is that Lana, Noah and the cast of To All the Boys I've Loved Before still support each other today. We've had plenty of reunions off-screen, but how about one on the big screen?

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan & Jaren Lewison

Between Ben, Paxton and Ethan, we always wanted to see Devi end up with Ben. Their personalities meshed the most, and underneath Ben's irritating behavior with Devi, we couldn't stop seeing Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Jaren Lewison's bond.

If a hotshot director calls us up in the near future, we're picking Maitreyi and Ben to star together in a rom-com—and one where they don't have a competitive arc, so we can see their true chemistry shine.
