1. John Mayer is his biggest musical influence.
"His songwriting is unmatched to me, and I'm always impressed with how well-spoken and grounded he is. He gives me that motivation to really dig deep into my writing until I come up with exactly what I want to say."

2. He's closer to his parents than he is anyone else.
"I talk to them every day and they're like my best friends. They hear all of my venting and are the first to hear about anything exciting that's happening in my life as well. As I've gotten older we've only gotten closer."

3. He says he couldn't live without the Spotify app.
"I have one playlist with like 3,000 songs on it and I don't know what I'd do without that playlist. Spotify makes it so easy for me to find good music."

4. When he's seeking inspiration, he has a number of sources to turn to.
"I try to pull from something that I'm currently going through, or something that I went through in the past for a lot of my music. But other times, I've been pulling inspiration from books and movies—this is a newer thing for me, but I try to feel the emotions that I think certain characters would be feeling, and then I try to write my own story from that."

5. The last show he binge-watched was Avatar: The Last Airbender.
"I never watched it as a kid and it was seriously one of the best series I've ever watched."

6. His best school subject was always science, while his worst was economics.
"I was always a huge fan of science growing up—I was studying to be a doctor before music. But business-oriented subjects never really interested or clicked with me."

7. He's recently been able to enjoy his favorite home cooked meal.
"It's fall right now and I'm actually home in Indiana while I'm writing this and just had this dish—my mom makes some mean chili. We don't have it a lot, but she always makes it as soon as the weather starts getting colder and I love it so much."

8. The scent of the October air in Indiana is his favorite smell in the world.
"It's so crisp and sweet and just smells like a cozy fall. I think fall is my favorite season!"

9. His No. 1 piece of breakup advice is that pain heals in time.
"It's just like an open wound—it's gonna hurt for a while, but after it begins to heal, you'll get your footing again and who knows, you might end up doing something that changes your life that you wouldn't have done if you were still in a relationship."

10. Christian is definitely a bit of an overthinker.
"I'm a very introspective person who likes to think through things deeply—sometimes to the point of overthinking and stressing myself out. This whole journey as a musician has been a continuous journey of trial and error for me, where I never feel like I have things fully figured out, so there have been a lot of ups and downs, but I've learned more about myself these past few years than I ever have before."
