Cimorelli Benefit Concerts Raises Safety Awareness
On Friday, a Cimorelli benefit concert was held in Newbury Park, California, to benefit the family of a tow-truck driver who was killed February in a hit-and-run accident.
The tow-truck driver, Ronald Carver, was helping Katherine Cimorelli with her car when he was hit by another vehicle.
Cimorelli will perform another benefit in Malibu on May 5th, with all proceeds going to Carver's widow and three children.
Cimorelli went to a Malibu City Council meeting in March to ask the community to help them find a good location to perform a benefit concert. They eventually settled on Malibu Bluffs Park.
The Malibu City Council will waive a fee of almost $1000 to pay for the fees of the event. Though the show will be free, Cimorelli will take donations to help support Carver's family.
There will also be food trucks at the concert, plus booths with information advocating safer driving for a safer PCH, where the accident took place.
