6 Relatable Struggles We’re All Experiencing During Quarantine
These days, we're all thinking the same thing—when is this Coronavirus nonsense going to end?
At this point, it doesn't seem to be ending any time soon. But don't worry, because we're all in this together! During this period of social isolation, it's easy to revert to lazy ways and feel lonely—both of which are totally normal reactions. Keep scrolling for the six things we're all going through during Quarantine:
1. We're Watching Too Much T.V.
You know how Netflix asks if you're still watching? We're willing to bet you've seen that question pop up an insane number of times in the last few weeks. After all, with limited options to keeping yourself entertained, Hulu, Disney+ and Netflix are the go-to. You never thought you'd say it, but you're actually getting pretty tired of sitting on the couch and binge-watching your favorite shows.
2. We're Sick of Home-Cooked Meals
Everyone loves a great home-cooked meal. It comes from the heart and just tastes incredible! Why? Because someone who cares for you spent their time making it. However, you've reached the point where you no longer want perfectly grilled chicken or sautéed veggies… no, you want a juicy burger from a fast-food chain.
3. We're Waking Up Later Than Usual
Whether you're a morning person or not, you've found yourself sleeping-in way more than normal. Since you aren't leaving the house, the days and hours start to blend together, so it's no wonder your sleep schedule is a bit off! And since you don't have a regulated sleep schedule, your eating times are probably different, too.
4. We've Never Felt So Bored
Spring cleaning is something most of us don't look forward to, but guess what? You've done it. You've probably done a lot of things out of pure boredom. Staring at the wall, pacing your room, doing a puzzle and playing cards by yourself are just some of the things you've done or have thought of doing. To be honest, you didn't even know this level of boredom even existed.
5. We Miss Our Friends
Daily FaceTime sessions and stalking each other's TikToks can only pass so much time before you realize you just want to hug your friends! You're used to seeing them every day at school, dance class or any other extracurricular activity. You probably text them every day planning your first outing or adventure together once all this madness is over.
6. We've Worn Loungewear Every Day
Since you're staying at home every day (ugh, we're over it—did we mention that already?), chances are, you're not strutting around the house wearing your nicest clothes. No, you're spending all day in the same pajamas, leggings or sweatsuits. It makes you feel even more lazy than you already probably are. After all, why would you wear uncomfortable clothes when you're trapped inside all hours of the day?
