Crash Adams and Big Time Rush Take Over MusikFest in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

by Erica Remboske

Musikfest is an annual festival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania that features an amazing lineup over about two weeks. I was able to attend on Friday, Aug. 9, to see Crash Adams and Big Time Rush take the stage.

Pop duo Crash Adams consists of Rafaele Massarelli ("Crash") and Vince Sasso ("Adams"), who started writing music together in 2019. They opened the floor at around 6:45 P.M. with an amazing set. Some may know them best for their viral YouTube videos, with talented freestyle rappers spontaneously jumping in to accompany them, and their "Can you rap in public" series, but they're also beloved for their attention-catching discography.

They performed popular new songs including "Somewhere In Vegas" and "Hotel Party," and ended with one of their biggest hits, "Give Me a Kiss." Fans were jumping out of their seats to watch the performance, as they did not disappoint.

After Crash Adams' set ended, Big Time Rush hopped on the stage at around 7:30 P.M. The iconic boy band was formed based on the Nickelodeon TV series, also called Big Time Rush, in 2009, consisting of Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, James Maslow and Carlos PenaVega. Following a seven-year hiatus, they reunited in 2021, and this show proved they've never been better.

They performed many older hits like "Boyfriend," "Windows Down," "City Is Ours" and the fan-favorite, "Paralyzed." They also brought up four lucky fans to help them perform "Worldwide" as they posed as the "Worldwide Girl." They also performed newer hits "Only One" and "Ask You Tonight." Their set had the entire crowd energized, moving to the music and enjoying themselves, reminding the audience that they were born to make music together.
