Creators Of Vampire Diaries Take On New Sci-Fi

Calling all "Vampire Diaries" Fans: Kevin Williamson, the man behind the vampires, is writing a new hour-long drama that is being described as "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" meets "The X-Files" aka paranormal meets AWESOME.

Although a definite script has not been released, it is reported that the characters will not be finding their was to Mystic Falls anytime soon (i.e. looks like there wont be any vamp crossovers despite spookily similar genres). However, Julie Plec, Kevin's executive producer/co-creator, may be signing on for the new series as well.

…It looks like the new show will be a heavy helping of the dream team who brought you the Elena-Damon amazingness, but the real question is whether or not it will make the cut for all you fan-pires.
