The 7 Trench Coats That Are in Our Shopping Carts Right Now
Even though Sweety High is based in sunny Los Angeles, California, we look for any excuse to whip out our winter clothes.
When the weather hits below 65 degrees, it's pretty much a guarantee we'll be wrapped up in our coziest sweaters and warmest jackets. We know, it's pathetic, but when we only have a select few days out of the month to show off this side of our closets, we take every chance we can get. These days, we're especially obsessing over trench coats. They're a great staple to have in every girl's closet, and can pretty much be worn all seasons of the year (with the exception of summer).
Keep reading to see the seven trench coats that are currently in our shopping carts:
1. Nasty Gal You Faux Leather Know Belted Trench Coat: $78.65
We live for a leather moment. This bad boy gives us some major Matrix vibes, but in a very good way. It comes with an enlarged buckle belt as well as a double-breasted feature, which makes the jacket appear elegant and relaxed. We love the idea of throwing this atop any outfit… seriously, any outfit will do. You can never go wrong with a good ol' black trench coat to complete a look!

2. BB Dakota I Spy Off White Belted Trench Coat: $150
This piece of outerwear is simply stunning. Just take a look at the structure of it—it's virtually flawless and looks great on the model (and we're willing to bet it would on you, too!). The creamy white color is a fun change for those of us who stick to our tried and true leather jackets (sorry, we just know what we like). It's a gorgeous hue for both the winter and spring, so you can be sure to catch us rocking this pretty piece in the months to come.

3. Amuse Society Emmanuelle Trench: $86
If you don't have any plaid pieces in your closet, this is the perfect garment to start out your collection. Plaid, in our humble opinion, will never go out of style, which is why our closets have lots of the pattern in all sorts of colors (our faves ATM are pink and yellow plaid). This specific trench coat is a great investment because it's in a neutral shade, meaning it'll look good with most of your ensembles.

4. Misguided Khaki Oversized Trench Coat: $76
Is it just us, or are you also vibing with this stellar coat from Misguided? Not only does the retailer provide us with insanely great price points, but their styles are always on point. We're especially obsessing over the color of this trench coat. It would look great with monochromatic ensembles—like a matching tracksuit. Plus, the material is relatively lightweight, so you can either wear layers underneath when it's cold or over a dress on warmer days.

5. Leith Faux Patent Leather Trench Coat: $89.40
If you've yet to venture into the vinyl trend that's been taking over the fashion world, you need to hop on the train. And while this jacket is technically patent leather (not vinyl or PVC), it's giving us the same shiny feel. This would make a great statement piece, so we'd recommend keeping the rest of your outfit subtle so that all the focus remains on the trench coat.

6. Topshop Blue Faux Croc Vinyl Trench Coat: $150
The year of 2020 is all about animal prints and textures. And while you likely have something leopard or snakeskin print already in your closet, we're willing to bet you've yet to venture into crocodile, aka our print obsession of the moment. Plus, when you combine croc with this season's most popular color, pale blue, you're left with a masterpiece. We love the fit and buttons of the specific piece from Topshop.

7. Blank NYC Anaconduh Beige Snake Print Vegan Leather Trench Coat: $148
No list is complete without a bit of snakeskin, and when we found this bold piece from Blank NYC, we fell head over heels. The faux leather material gives off a hint of shine, while the muted colors keep the jacket neutral and not too in-your-face. We think this would look best thrown atop an all-white or all-black outfit. Since the print itself is already so busy, it's vital to keep the rest of the outfit understated.
