DIY Candy Sleighs Are Just What The Holidays Needed!
We're getting closer to the end of our 12 days of holiday DIYs with day 8! Today, we'll show you how to create precious candy sleighs, which can be deconstructed and eaten, or saved as a delightful decoration!
This handy craft can be put together with candy you might already have around for the holiday season! Our version is adapted from Ellyn's Place!
For each sleigh, you will need:
- One standard Kit Kat bar (or other wide, flat candy bar)
- Two candy canes
- 10 mini Hershey's bars, or other small candy bars
- Ribbon
- Bow
You'll also need a hot glue gun and a pair of scissors to cut your ribbon!
Begin with the sleigh's base. Create this by hot glueing the two candy canes, hook side up, to the underside of the Kit Kat bar, lengthwise.
Next, attach the small candy bars in a pyramid formation along the length of the Kit Kat bar, securing with hot glue. First lay down four bars, then three on top of that, then two and then one to top off the pyramid shape.
Make sure everything is firmly in place before tying a length of ribbon around the sleigh like a gift. Top off with a bow and your sleigh is complete!
These adorably festive packages don't take too long to make and will be a delightful surprise to your loved ones!
