Doncaster Rovers Bought By Louis Tomlinson!

We all know that One Direction's Louis Tomlinson is a massive fan of soccer, or football as it's called in the U.K., but Louis recently took that love a step further by buying his hometown football team, the Doncaster Rovers!

Louis collaborated with the team's former chairman, entrepreneur John Ryan, to buy the team that the two have supported their whole lives.

The duo are also uniting to create the Tomlinson Ryan Trust in an awesome Crowdfunder campaign to raise £2 million (about $3.4 million), with the help of fans and supporters, to recruit new players for the team!

The campaign brings together football, music and crowdfunding in a brand new way. Fans can pledge money to Louis' cause, and get rewards in turn!

These prizes include exclusive thank yous from Louis, John Ryan and more, trust wristbands, programs, scarves, t-shirts and sweatshirts, digital member packs and a lot more!

At the end of the campaign, supporters will own up to 5% of the team. If you're under 18, get a parent to make a contribution and make a difference to this team that Louis holds so dearly to his heart!

"I grew up in Doncaster and have felt the love for football run through the town, it's for that reason that I have a real personal passion to make Doncaster Rovers a success story," Louis wrote for the Crowdfunder page. "I want to see the Doncaster Rovers' supporters get the club the success it deserves."

As a kid, Louis worked at burgers stands at Doncaster Rovers games just so he could be close to the action!

In the past, Louis has also played with them for charity. He said he was as nervous for the game as he gets for his gigs with One Direction!

"Obviously the main aim is to get Doncaster Rovers to the Premier League, which feels amazing just to say," Louis explains in a video explaining the decision. "We'll get there."

The campaign ends on Thursday, July 17th.With 19 days left in the campaign, they're about a third of the way to their goal. We definitely think they can make it!
