Dunkin’ Donuts Brought Back Ice Cream-Flavored Coffees, Just in Time for Summer

Summer is ice cream season, and Dunkin' Donuts knows it.

The coffee and breakfast chain is giving the people what they want post-Memorial Day: coffee inspired by ice cream flavors.

The Dunkin' Donuts Instagram account announced the return of its popular beverage option on May 29, sharing an image of a delicious-looking iced coffee atop an equally craving-inducing ice cream cone.

"You love them. We have them," read the caption. "Ice Cream Inspired Iced Coffee Flavors are back!"

And so they are. Dunkin' Donuts is now selling them at locations nationwide, along with a couple of other new summer treats. The chain also debuted its new Frozen Lemonade — in original and strawberry flavors — as well as reintroduced the Sweet Black Pepper Bacon Breakfast Sandwich.

We're still most excited about the ice cream-inspired flavors, though. Part of what's so great is that the company used customers' input. People all over the United States voted last year for the ice cream flavors they most wanted to drink, and the powers that be at Dunkin' Donuts listened.

As a result, the company is offering us the options of butter pecan, cookie dough and pistachio. They can be used to flavor hot and iced coffees, lattes and macchiatos, plus Dunkin' Donuts' Frozen Coffee and Frozen Chocolate menu items.

There are so many coffees to be had and only a limited number of summer days to enjoy them, so we're going to get started ASAP.
