Rookie K-pop Group DXMON Discuss Debut, Favorite Tracks and The Future

With their fascinating clothing style, robust ambitions and exceptional talents, DXMON's debut in January made them a group to look out for.
The six-member K-pop group has released their debut EP HYPERSPACE, which features a blend of hip-hop and R&B genres and conveys a wide range of emotions. They have worked tirelessly to promote their music and their pre-release single, "Burn Up," has garnered over 1 million views on YouTube. In our exclusive interview with DXMON, we discuss the group's feelings as a new group and their connection to HYPERSPACE.
Sweety High: Congratulations on your debut! As a new group, what messages do you hope to send to your fans throughout your career?
MINJAE: Something I always say is that I wish to be consistent. I'll always stay happy and wait for you, so please watch us 'til the end! We'll show you more amazing things. I love you!
SEITA: Thank you for always supporting us! We'll do our best to show you all the charms of the six of us. Please give lots of love to DXMON!
TK: We want to make happy and good memories for our fans who show interest and love for DXMON. We'll always cheer for you while staying next to you, fighting! I want to send this message to our fans.
SH: Your name, DXMON, means to decide one's destiny and achieve it. What is your destiny that you hope to achieve?
MINJAE: We want to be a group full of energy that grows endlessly. We want to be a more improved version of ourselves compared to now.
JO: Like BTS and BLACKPINK, we hope to be a global team with our unique colors! We'll make sure to show you that.

SH: What is the inspiration behind HYPERSPACE?
MINJAE: HYPERSPACE denotes the idea of "a space beyond three dimensions," and there are books related to this idea as well. Based on various thoughts, our album HYPERSPACE is a process of filling that space, and it's an album where you can also preview the future activities of DXMON. The concept of space can also be seen as something where my perspective and another person's perspective differ. As DXMON leaps beyond this space, it signifies the existence of another world, and with each leap, it encapsulates the idea of evolving our music while growing alongside our fans, with synchronized footsteps. With the double title tracks "Burn Up," which is filled with DXMON's passion and "SPARK," which conveys our journey of striving toward our dreams, we have encapsulated the message we wish to convey.
SH: Your mini-album consists of hip-hop, R&B and rap songs. Are there any other genres you wish to try in the future?
SEITA: All members like rock music and listen to that genre a lot in our daily lives, so I want to try rock and funk styles too!
MINJAE: We want to be a group that tries various genres. Since we showed more hip-hop and rap through our debut album, it would be great to present songs that accentuate our vocals a little more in the future.

SH: Which HYPERSPACE track is your favorite and why?
JO: I would choose "Burn Up" because we can show DXMON's unique styling on stage through this track, and it delivers powerful energy.
REX: My favorite is "SPARK." I got goosebumps as soon as I first heard it, and I instantly fell in love with it. It also embodies a unique identity that only DXMON can express.
SH: What makes DXMON stand out the most? How do you stand out from the crowd?
MINJAE: We are a group with our great chemistry, styling only DXMON can pull off, and energetic performance.
HEE: I think the explosive energy that we show on stage is unique to DXMON! You can say it's a charm that causes you to keep watching us.
REX: I think our overwhelming visuals and explosive rapping are the charms we possess and showcase DXMON's uniqueness.
SH: Your style has caught the attention of a lot of K-pop fans online. What is the meaning behind this styling choice?
HEE: We wanted to express DXMON's personality and confidence. We wanted to directly share who DXMON is, and I believe our intentions were expressed well.
JO: It contains DXMON's ambition to make our first appearance in a powerful way that fits the concept of the song. We wish to be imprinted in your memory.

SH: Where does DXMON want to be a year from now?
MINJAE: We want to be a group that tours everywhere around the world because we wish to meet as many fans as possible. Please wait a bit more for us!
SEITA: I want to be an artist who flies across different countries because I want to meet fans from many countries.
TK: As DXMON, I want to consistently work on hip-hop-style songs with my members, but in the future, I hope to grow into an artist who tackles various genres.
REX: I want to be an artist who blows away the public with my appearance alone and is recognized by the audience with statements like, "DXMON's stage is a must-see."
SH: Is there anything else you would like to say to your fans?
HEE: Thank you so much to all the fans who love and follow us. We'll become a DXMON who works even harder in the future! We hope to see you more often.
MJ: We will not lose our initial mindset and we will try to be a hardworking DXMON! Thank you!
