Everything to Know About Entertaining With Disney Event Planning Book

I live for a good themed party, especially when I have something to do with the planning.

I admit it—I love being praised and complimented for the end result of all of my hard work. I've been known to take things to the extreme when it comes to party planning, but what can I say? I enjoy spoiling my family and friends.

So, when Insight Editions reached out to me about reviewing a party planning book centered around all things Disney, I immediately responded and got my hands on the hard copy in no time.

Written by Amy Croushorn, Entertaining With Disney is being released on Sept. 24 and retails for $29.99 (available for pre-order HERE). The book gives readers multiple options and experiences to draw from in order to create the perfect Disney-themed event. The book itself is a hardcover, coffee-table-style book with blush-colored accents. The cover shows a glimpse into one of the parties featuring The Little Mermaid.

Upon opening the book, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the paper, fonts and colors—a sure sign it'll be featured on my coffee table for years to come. The contents section provides 11 party themes, each consisting of three sections: For the Menu, For the Space and For Fun.

For the Menu is about—you guessed it—food. Each chapter includes recipes and directions for special snacks, foods and drinks, all staying in the realm of the party's Disney theme.

For the Space contains all things crafting. After all, what's a party without a bit of awesome decor? If DIY is your thing, you'll completely obsess over some of the projects.

For Fun discusses additional ideas, whether it be a game, party favor, invitation or playlist.

The parties draw from the most popular Disney characters and stories, including Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin and the most famous villains.

At the end of each chapter, a specific timeline is provided—something super helpful for those of us with bad time-management skills. Honestly, Entertaining With Disney has it all. The only note I have is that I want more! A girl can only dream that a second edition will be released soon.
