Epic the Movie Released in Theaters Today!

Epic the movie arrives in theaters today, but Sweety High got a special sneak peek at the premiere in New York City last week. The film tells the story of a teenager named Mary Katherine, voiced by Amanda Seyfried.

Mary is transported into a deep forest where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. Once there, Mary teams up with a rag-tag group characters in order to help save their world, and ours.

We loved the positive messages in this adventure comedy! Seeing ourselves as many leaves on one tree is one of the ways we can remember to work together for the greater good. Epic also shows strong examples of girl power, with Beyoncé Knowles giving her voice to the character of Queen Tara.
