Which Essential Oil Do You Need in Your Life?
Like mushroom tea and ginger shots, essential oils are one of today's many hot wellness trends.
However, essential oils are anything but new. In fact, they've been around for centuries. An article written by Hazem S. Elshafie and Oppolito Camele cites that essential oils and aromatherapy may date back as early as Egypt in 4,500 BC, ancient China and India in 3000 and 2000 BC, and Greece in 500 and 400 BC. Basically, they've been around for a long time in a lot of different places.
Essential oils are plant-based and provide a natural way to treat different ailments. Essential oils are said to alleviate anxiety, depression, nausea, and insomnia. They can also reduce nausea, improve concentration, treat headaches and clear sinuses. So if you've wanted to try essential oils but didn't know where to start, this guide will lead you to the perfect essential oil for you!

Note: As a general warning, you should never consume essential oils. They should only be used topically (on your body) or diffused in the air. A small percentage of people also have an allergic reaction to essential oils, so go to a doctor if you break out in rash or hives after using essential oils. If you have pets, Found Animals suggests that you contact your vet before using essential oils, as some essential oils are toxic to animals. They can tell you which ones to avoid or safe ways to practice aromatherapy without hurting your fur babies.
